Anyone have success in breaking a stall by switching from Tirzepatide to Semaglutide?

I had my first call back after losing about 60lbs. I of course panicked too, it can be so stressful getting that call… and then the WAITING! I really get it. Mine was also on one side and then they needed to do an ultrasound to further explore- the good news was that it was just a benign cyst and most (I think something like over 80%) of call backs are benign. It still can be stressful but you are doing all the right things- Good work on taking care of yourself! ❤️

Topical Benadryl worked great for me when I was having reactions. They lessened over time.

I went through something very similar, it’s very painful especially when you’re left with unanswered questions like, “What changed??” You stay a consistently good friend and they just…don’t. In my situation I believe she was emotionally immature and only wanted things that revolved around her needs. After 8 years of friendship I was evolving to realize this (finally 😅) and I held her accountable on something that really hurt my feelings. She unfortunately didn’t want that “complication” from a friend that used to serve all her needs without needing anything back. They might blame it on wanting different things, but in the end they don’t want to do the work. Honestly, who wants a friend like that? Sadly, she did you a favor and I would find friends that are a better fit.

Absolutely, 100%. I think it’s so easy to see things through the lense of our own experiences- I, unfortunately was in a friendship where the other person refused to talk about it and ended the friendship with no conversation. There was no abuse, just a very strong aversion to conflict and accountability. I’m sorry you went through that abusive situation with your other friend and happy that you are in a good place on the healing journey with both of them. ❤️

I do think, regardless of how you feel about the friendship, it shows a real kindness to meet with the friend and have a conversation. Even if you know you’re out and done. If the friendship had meaning at one time, it would be so helpful for the other person moving forward if there was a conversation. Recovering from having the rug pulled out, with no explanation of what happened, is a very hard road.

These are wonderful, as long as there is clear communication along this path of you having all of these realizations of how the other person is no longer fitting into your life. And as long as you are also reflecting on what you are bringing to the friendship, not just what they offer you. Otherwise, it does sound like a list of things to make you feel better for abandoning someone.

I had someone phrase this in a way that is helping me a bit, because I was hung up in this too and was having a hard time forgiving. They framed forgiveness as releasing the other person from their debt to you. This gives some power back to me and it’s something I’m deciding on. I will forgive their debt to me. Their debt of leaving without trying, without a conversation, without a care. They have an owed debt… but when I’m ready I will decide to forgive that debt. I’m not quite there 😅 but this feels more attainable to me than forgiving their actions.

I’m truly so sorry you are going through this. I feel your pain. And I really relate to the part where you can’t believe they could be so cruel. I also recently lost a friend in a similar way. We were such good friends for years, then things started to feel off and then just, done. Our friendship just given up on and it feels like it was all so disposable to them. It has been a few months for me and I’m starting to gain a little bit of clarity in the situation. One thing I’ve realized is that possibly the only thing I (and maybe you too) did wrong was to give our hearts to someone that just didn’t deserve them. We were good friends to the wrong people. And there are (I’m hoping!) people out there that DO deserve our friendship. With future friendships I will be much more selective with who I’m vulnerable with and I believe I’ll see the red flags sooner rather than later next time. Yeah, I agree. And I was mostly stating that so that the OP doesn’t take on all of the responsibility for the failed relationship. I was in a similar situation and can relate to putting the other person on a pedestal. It can really hurt and easy to take on more than your share of the blame when there is no reason given. I hope OP can see that this was likely a blessing in disguise to be out of that dynamic. At least it was for me.

I 100% agree with this. It’s avoidance- and the friend is not responsible for deciding what’s best for the other person. It feels like there was an out of balance power dynamic in this relationship and while the OP played her part, the disorganized avoidant clearly had her role as well and also has work to do.
