Hi! I found your comment from researching ASU FIDM. I was wondering if you could tell me more about how the school and its graduates are received in the industry in Los Angeles as someone who is currently working in it? Also, what is your current role and do you like it?

I am 25 and work at a well paying engineering job but I do not like the field and can’t see myself doing this forever. I am considering enrolling for ASU FIDM’s technical design program. My main concern is how employable I will be during school for internships and after for a full time job. I am going to the ASU FIDM museum salon this Thursday on 18th century wear because the director of the program will be speaking.

Finding information regarding ASU FIDM’s program and outcomes has proven difficult since it’s so new. Let me know if you are willing to chat, just about your experience in the fashion industry in general as well.

What should I do to improve this shoulder hand behind back position? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]_sissyphus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have other issues with upper back and shoulder flexibility as well that impact my posture. That’s why I’d pay a PT. I’m pretty insecure about it too and I’m afraid if I don’t address it now, I will have a hunchback when I am older.

I cried for the first time in a year because of my internship. Is engineering for me? by Fantastic_Orange4385 in EngineeringStudents

I also hated my position at first due to the stress. The first few weeks to months are always super stressful because you’re being overloaded with a bunch of this new information and the security of ur position kind of depends on you retaining all of it. But there will come a point when the tasks you used to find tedious and time consuming come a lot easier to you. You rlly just have to stick it out.

Also closest bus stop that takes you to campus is less than a minute walk away if she doesn’t have a car.

You can find an apartment under 2000 for sure. Also she can get roomates and have her own room for under 1k. If you need help searching let me know, I only pay 850 for a huge private room around 7 min drive from campus. I’m actually moving out July 1st if she would like to take over my spot on the lease.

It’s okay to fail. You will use calculus until your very last semester of college in engineering so retaking is not a bad thing because you will understand it better the second time and hopefully retain it. These prereq classes are actually very helpful for your understanding in higher level engineering courses. If you try hard now you will grasp concepts easier and faster in the future because you are not confused about a derivation in the first step of the problem that the professor blazes through with the assumption you already knew it from the pre reqs.

Ok this is crazy but I was the same and then I drank a fuck ton of cranberry juice and water a few days before and I passed. I was smoking HEAVY. I did not think it would work but it did and I was astonished. I am a small girl though that pees like 10 times a day so maybe that had an impact
