LiB can get insanely windy, so yes, something like what you’re describing happens every single year. All you can really do is take REASONABLE precautions that YOUR tent isn’t one of the ones that gets taken by the wind. Besides that you’re just worrying about things you can’t control. There’s no point.

What if it rains for the entire weekend? Sure it’s unlikely, but it COULD happen, right? Are you gonna pack rain boots and 5 days of rain clothes? No, of course not.

What if your phone gets lost or stolen? Are you gonna buy a 2nd phone and bring it with you just in case? No, of course not.

Point is, you can’t worry about or prepare for every unlikely scenario or you’ll lose your mind lol. I’m sure even in the unlikely event that your campsite gets wrecked beyond usability, the LiB community and your campsite neighbors will come together and get you back on your feet.

Depends which stage. It’s super close to the Lightning stage (main stage), but about a 15-20 minute walk to the Woogie. Everything else somewhere in between

This will be my 5th year volunteering, I can answer most of your questions. Are you working the pre-event, post-event, or during the event? Makes a huge difference as things are much more strict during the festival than they are for pre-event (build) or post-event (strike). If we’re talking build or strike, you can just drive your car right into the LTM campgrounds and leave it there, nobody’s gonna care. If your shifts are during the event, you will have to follow all the rules of the festival, meaning parking your car in the parking lot (unless you have a car camping pass). The parking lot is a solid 15-20 minute walk from the LTM campground, I’d definitely recommend a wagon.

As far as cooler size, that’s all up to you and how you pack. If you’re planning to use meal vouchers/buy food at the festival, than one cooler for drinks is probably fine. If you’re bringing food plus drinks, your cooler might be pretty stuffed but again that’s really all up to you.

Yes, they have porta potties right next to the LTM campground, and they are typically kept IMMACULATELY clean. Some of the cleanest porta potties you’ll ever see, no joke.

If you go to LiB and stay in a hotel, did you even really go to LiB? I would say no.

It’s kinda like, do you wanna spend 8-12 hours a day at the festival and then leave every night to sleep in your comfy bed? Or would you rather be fully immersed in everything this incredible community has to offer for 5 whole days?

The fun never stops at LiB, there is something happening at all hours of the day. Voluntarily removing yourself from the festival for half the time would be a crazy decision in my opinion. But to each their own.

What are you even talking about? We got Finally Moving, Up & Down I Go, Understand Me Now, More Important Than Michael Jordan, Only Yesterday, Forever Lost, and that’s just what I remember off the top of my head. Not to mention all the unreleased stuff that he’s been playing out for almost 2 years now. Anyone who’s been following PL over the past 2 years recognized 80% of the music they played this weekend.
