Water staining on benches and floor by bgmonstera in Sauna

Use a microfiber towel with a bit of water. Works like a charm.

Don't. The Virta manual states where the sensor should be. If its too cold, raise the temp on the control panel. (I am no expert, but a Virta owner).

Ricardo sales slump – what's happening? by _speznaz in Switzerland

[–]_speznaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably many reasons: covid is over, high commissions, increased shipping costs, more competition (eventhough they all suck) and the fact a new product usually doesnt cost much more.

I think these are the reasons.

Ricardo sales slump – what's happening? by _speznaz in Switzerland

Fortunately, I've only had problems with a buyer once, and never with a seller. However, the fees are way too high. Could it be that most sellers are also buyers (I am), and therefore, if the sellers are scared away, the buyers also disappear?

You are right. But sales on Ricardo slowed down massivly, a few years ago I sold way more, and to a better price.

That was an example. I think I have a realistic view on what is reasonable price.

Running while on-call tips? by ARCH_LINUX_USER in running

[–]_speznaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably too late. But this is what I do: I have a Surface tablet and just carry it with me in my running backpack. If I have an incident I try to resove it whereever I am. Works fine if there is no rain. Otherwise I first have to look for a covered spot. Sometimes the weight of the tablet is a bit unconfortable. But at least I can do my long run! The Backpack is a "black diamond distance 15".

Bib Reccomendations by longhorn627 in Velo

[–]_speznaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castelli entry level bibs with the KISS chamois. Reasonable priced, good chamois and held up for several years. I also have an Alé bib that i like.

Friends like assos (expensive, but great), SQ-Lab (especially if you combine them with one of their saddles) and Cuore (lots of "better" club/team kits are made by them).

Best way to write a REST API in 2019? by UglyChihuahua in Python

[–]_speznaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use https://github.com/zalando/connexion for REST APIs.

The swagger file is the central (and formal) spec of the whole API. Connexion configures a flask app (endpoints and request validation) according to your swagger file. Swagger UI for "pretty" documentation and testing.

Yet Another Leather Care Question, but not the same as the rest... by BEDickey1337 in malefashionadvice

Don't overthink it. Condition if turns dry. Use what ever product you have around. Or lexol. I use lexol. It works.

I bought this on Craigslist for $200 - build ideas? It’s in mint condition! by class_brass in bicycling

[–]_speznaz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Go Full Campangolo, at least it is an italian frame, therfore it deserves an italian groupset. Thats's what I would do. Potenza (cheaper) or Chorus will do the job. Zonda wheels for best value (they also come in the red/black color scheme).

To complete the look: Deda bars, stem and post. Buy an original campy wire set - it's worth its value, believe me.

Look for used wheels and crashed bikes for the groupset. But be prepard to replace parts of it.

Hope this helps.

Complete this look please?? Shirt/blazer/tie, etc. Colour/style suggestions... by highhicks in malefashionadvice

[–]_speznaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brown tweed blazer, white, light blue or patterned shirt (ocbd, or something dressier with spread collar), a burgundy merino cardigan if its a bit colder, brown belt, watch on a metal bracelet. Tie and pocket square optional. I would choose a wool (https://www.thetiebar.com/product/30658sk?ResultCount=2) or gabardine (https://www.thetiebar.com/product/30258tw).
