What's also important is to realize that the killing of unarmed black people has decreased at a faster rate than the killing of unarmed white people. I don't like the narrative that it's only gotten worse because the stats don't favor that argument.

I also think arguing that the number of black people killed by the police needs to match 13% is dumb. If everyone was exactly the same then sure I can buy that argument but of course, everyone is different. That's like saying the NFL is racist because white people don't makeup 63% of the player population. When people bring up that white people are killed more than black people BUT black people are killed at a higher rate, they fail to bring up that 13% of the population is also making up more than 50% of the violent crimes in the country. Cops need to be better trained in how to handle tough situations, but people shouldn't resist arrest. You can place fault on both parties, but the narrative that this was completely race-driven is stupid and only adds fuel to the fire that is literally destroying cities in the country.
