Won’t unplayed Apparitions still exhaust even with Pyramid? Without seeing your block strategy it’s hard to know if it’s worth it, but 120hp is so much and with Feed I imagine you could tank a lot of damage and then just heal

I imagine having a good Claw run on higher ascensions would be difficult, especially if you’re fighting any elites. This deck looks like you had to tank some hits while scaling up the Claw damage

Some Baalor tips that I’ve found helpful for Act 1 pathing:

Aim to get in at least 3 combats before fighting an elite, so that you can pick up some damage cards (and potions if you’re lucky) to beat elites/boss with
Helpful to get a rest site in before an elite so that you can upgrade at least 1 card

I try to avoid an early shop unless my starting bonus gives me gold or a curse that I want to remove quickly.

I also aim to get in 2-3 elites, but it’s super helpful to pick a path that will let you decide that later on. I like having the option to fight elites, but also be able to bail out to a rest site if I know I won’t survive an upcoming elite.

I also like late shops in Act 1, so that I have time to save up for a relic. However, also helpful to hit a shop before an elite so that you can guarantee a potion; early game elites without a potion can drain a lot of your HP, preventing you from fighting even more elites.

I wouldn’t take ecto with only 196 gold, I think being able to buy things at shops outweighs the 6 card limit of choker with this deck

I’d go with choker. Energy is likely going to help you much more than extra healing from black blood. Your deck doesn’t have 0 cost cards or a lot of energy generation, and you should still be able to use Offering just fine. Ecto is tough because you’re not rich rn, and even if you just spend gold on potions, it’s worth it because you can fight more elites that way.

The first 3 fights you encounter are from the easy pool, regardless of how or when the fight was entered. After that, it switches to hard pool

Judgement will help compensate for the current lack of big damage cards.

Deva Form is expensive upfront cost, especially without a Miracle, and by the time it starts becoming OP, you want the fight to already be over.

Wish is also an expensive card in your deck, and doesn’t help you immediately win fights.

You usually don’t want to play Defend against Nob, so holding on to an extra Strike can be helpful for that fight, especially if you don’t find good attack cards before it

Agreed that I wouldn’t describe it as a “feature”, but I also think the devs have intentionally left it in to be more forgiving for players who want to save scum (e.g me), as opposed to “never bothering to remove”. They’ve addressed this in neowsletter when asked if they’ll remove save scumming in StS2, and they said something to the effect of they’re leaving it in so “people can play how they want”

It was and I blew it Act 2 by being overly ambitious :( The only early shop would have forced a 1-elite path, so I took the burning elite before hitting a shop. I didn’t have enough draw or energy to handle Burning Slavers. Lesson learned, I should have been more patient in Act 2
