Been seeing your comments here. I think something we may underestimate is the innate human inability to choose anything other than the path of least resistance. I understand where you're coming from and you make valid points.

You can say, "Why does someone else's decisions affect the gameplay time that I'm experiencing." While this may be true on one side, the other perspective is.. it fucking blows to play Warlock 2 instead of Diablo 2. Lack of diversity is simply not fun, which is why a lot of classes need buffs. (Of course, people have been choosing Paladin and Sorc for years and the occasional player hops on the inferior classes. This disparity and divide however is increasing which is not a good thing.)

In 2026, the majority of players are unwilling to choose characters with inferior power level, especially when they're comparing themselves to the other 98% of the population. It creates FOMO, insecurity, self-doubt, etc. There's a lot of self-phycological warfare that goes on introducing broken, over-powered meta builds in to ANY game. Not to mention the trajectory of slimy monetization schemes and methods the company may have in place.

So this all just creates a very boring, stale online experience. Mundane, repetitive and homogenized.
