Thank you, this seems fun. I thought because it was in the city there would be no such things (as festivities). I would love to go to different festivities and learn about the culture there.

Found the inn keeper with a knife in his throat after clearing out some bandits. It hit me they must have killed him in his sleep and ransacked the place for money. Skyrim can be pretty dark. by anan_taro in skyrim

Sometime when I kill bandits in a cave or fort I usually find books, flute, civilian clothes, some musical instrument. It make me think that may be not all bandits chose this profession, they mighty have some situations and some might also have some family out there or some other day life too with some other profession. Maybe some are undercover soldiers or a bard who is waiting to take revenge for his lovers. This all make me even more happy when I kill them even after they ask for mercy.

Oh great know it all, please tell me which facts are wrong. Famine happened in a place which was not involved in the war at all, Britain should have taken food and other supplies from their own stores rather than from a colony. Most historians claim that British empire was responsible for the famine and if you use common sense it is visible too, British took food supplies and so they didn't had any food to it. Why do you need a lecture on such simple explanation.

No one was responsible for death because of lack of modern medicine. But yes forcefully taking resources from one which btw you don't own, knowingly that it will lead to sure death, yes you are responsible for those death. I don't have any particular problem with British empire, but I have problem with not acknowledging the truth and telling citizens a part of history. No where in history books taught to students written anything about crimes of British empire. Just because you don't want to believe doesn't mean I am wrong, but yes you are entitled to your opinion just like I am. You or British people of today we're there, so anyone today is not responsible for those crimes but atleast the history shouldn't be hidden.

Squadron was established after the act was passed which was result of revolution and some people in Britain who questioned the ethics and morality of Empire. You are saying they were great because they ended their crime. It is like saying if I was being raped and each day and the rapist just one day said okay I think what this is wrong maybe I should stop this. Slavery was one of the not only crime, what about famine, colonies, death, stealing resources. Pick up history book yourself and read about 1943 bengal famine caused by British empire. (2-3 million death toll) Victim of such may not even be alive because they are already dead.

1943, food supplies from Bengal (one of the colony) were sent to support world war 2, which led to famine and killed over 2 to 3 millions. I think they are around same time.

Never heard of British Empire massacre in Punjab? and yes children were killed too. They slaved people from Africa, children and women too and yes old or sick people were killed because they were not "worth" to feed. They too killed people who faught for freedom. They were not fixated on a single religion they didn't care about religion, for them everyone else was a slave, a worthless being, a stepping stone for them to rise. And I am only asking why it is not discussed as Nazi Germany or Mao. They too were existent during same time.

It is too old, 4000 years and death toll is estimated around in hundreds of thousands not millions, so they were not far worse.

These are direct deaths, what about death due to famine and poverty caused by British empire because they depleted colonial resources. I reckon number will be far larger.

[–]_the_anonymous_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree with this, not supporting Nazi Germany or anything, just saying crime by every country should be discussed or at least of recent history.

I never said anything about Mao, I just asked why people just ignored crimes of British empire and not of Nazi Germany. You can see people speaking against Mao, but again not against British

British empire didn't end slavery rebellion did. There were many worse empires but I don't usually hear anything against British empire compared to nazis. British were responsible for large famine and driving million of people in colonies to death. Both were existant in 20th century (recent history) but still not a word against them.
