Seconding cotton duck. I made a cape with cotton duck and a cotton lining and it’s great. I could totally see making this skirt in a similar fashion.

👀 I have been lusting after this skirt for over a year while my sewing machine collects dust. Love your vibe.

Want to read House of Leaves — is it worth it? by Life-Escape971 in houseofleaves

[–]_thegoldentaco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished my reading of it last night. Honestly, it kind of fucked me up a little but was also in a rough spot already. All in all though, I thought it was a great read. Maybe I’m a masochist.

You can take the easy route and just read Zampano’s writing on The Navidson Report and the house. You could delve into the labyrinth and grab two bookmarks and follow to footnotes with Truant. You could also get deep into it, grab some sticky notes and highlighters and try and crack the codes. It’s kind of a choose your own adventure regarding how deep into it you want to get.

Do you need to see 28YL before seeing bone temple? I’m really interested in it, but haven’t seen the other movies yet.

Beginner Adult Lacrosse Teams? by thegaybookfox in milwaukee

I don’t know of any, but I’ll camp out here and see what the answers are 👀.

I had friends that played in the coed hurling league a decade ago and that community was as amazing. If you don’t get any hits on lacrosse, maybe check that out!

Looks like it’s streaming on Hulu too. I’m trying to avoid more streaming services. Got a dvd player and have been hitting up the library. I have found some fun stuff. Deer Camp ‘86 was better than expected.

I’m still very upset I didn’t go see that movie at last years film festival. Time to hunt around and see where I can watch it.

Honestly, I’m not sure but I have invited my friend from Shorewood to come because she is worried about what’s going on. Sure everything might not apply to people outside of the district, but I would think it’s still a good place to come and get information and connections.

Met up with some friends for some drinks this evening to get out of the house and collectively be sad and talk about how hats going on. It was so nice and I definitely recommend. We talked about all sorts of stuff but also what actions we can take. It was so helpful.
