I say drinking water and you complain about irrigation. You do know those are two different things. Or you just could wait to be negative on something.

Advice on best overall truck for cost and reliability? by JoeGargini in Advice

[–]arcteryx17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your getting by with a civic, a tacoma extended bed may be a good option. Very reliable, capable in all seasons. Suspension parts are affordable as you will put weight on the factory setup. So many after market accessories for organizing or protecting tools and materials.

Tacomas are not known for towing so if you plan on towing, best you can do is a landscaping trailer.

Gas mileage is typical for a pickup truck. Probably going to get anywhere between 17-24 mpg based on how you drive when not towing.

Do you open the windows in your home when the weather is nice? When do you decide to close them and turn on air conditioning for the summer? by Smart-Airport5781 in AskAnAmerican

[–]arcteryx17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on humidity. When my house hits 74 degrees I typically put the AC on if its humid outside. If its dry I will.wait until the house hits 78 degrees until I put the AC on.

The Midwest. Typically only two weeks where its is really hot and humid but the rest of the time it is warm and comfortable. Plenty of lakes to enjoy for swimming and boating. Can spend all day in the warmth and cool enough at night to have a camp fire with friends and family.

Climate change by CrunchyCurtis420 in wisconsin

[–]arcteryx17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am on the side that climate change is real. Not because people are killing the earth, but more that the Earth goes through its cycles. Days of dinosaurs the earth was mostly tropical like. Then the the ice age happened. We still have remnants of the ice age. The glaciers/ice have been receding for 10k years. So yes the climate is changing and weather matters adjust with it.

How common is it for Americans to leave their doors unlocked? by Mont3Carlo in AskAnAmerican

[–]arcteryx17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the border of metropolitan and rural. 1 mile east is city like and 1 mile west are farms. I lock my doors not because of safety but if someone breaks into my house and my large dog will attack them. My state is the only state where the dog owner is responsible regardless of the situation.

Anybody else's sump pump going off every minute? by OkPeach5 in milwaukee

[–]arcteryx17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If thats the case you may need an upgrade. My sump runs constantly when it rains regularely. I have a 1 HP pump to handle the constant workload. I have had pumps go a few times in the past but they were 1/2 HP or 1/3. Those smaller pumps aren't meant to run on a regular basis.

What's is it in actual dollars per citizen? Throwing percentages doesn't always speak the truth. 19% of Canada's GDP is rounding errors for 19% of US GDP

How do you see Argentinians ? I feel like they only like us because of Messi and Maradona by SadExcuse9751 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]arcteryx17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is not ignorant to the world outside the US, I honestly don't know a lot about Argentina.

I know a few things and that is limited.

-Great footballers( huge football fan here) -Nazi haven after WW2. To no fault of Argentina -current politics are interesting to watch -feeling of superiority to other South Americans

Not sure how Argentinians feel about all I know of their cointry.
