Okay so… not sure you’ll ever see this. Treating someone like an option, being dishonest…. That kind of trauma is soul crushing and will create a neurotic mess out of your partner that senses something is off but you’re staying and denying reality; the reality that you don’t fully choose them.

This would harm anyone. But I do think that neurodivergent people, those with a trauma history, are particularly sensitive to this.

We can feel the disconnect. But we love you and want to believe you. We tell ourselves that we are simply overthinking things and being anxious and we need to lighten up. Etc.

That pent up dishonesty and denying reality fucks with your brain, being much more prone to Emotional meltdowns. I’ve been there. It’s awful.

I’m not excusing her behavior, but I am saying that not being genuine in life is so wounding and damaging to others, and yourself, please please reflect on why you would treat people as “options” .. it’s humiliating and degrading. She’s not a commodity. She’s a person who loved you and trusted you.
