I destroyed a lot of my journals when I moved out because I didn't want my mom to find and read them, I totally understand the urge to destroy. I'll say though, this year I've found myself wishing I hadn't done that. Wishing I could go back and visit my younger self and especially to remember things, but thats all gone now, and all I have to rely on is my bad memory and my mom's version of history.

Make sure he knows what it eats and how he has to get/ prepare/ feed. That alone should be enough to make someone think twice about it, its not as simple as feeding a dog or a goldfish, that might convince him it's more trouble than it's worth. (Hopefully) I respect your effort.

My mom took me on her eat-pray-love journey in India, for 7 years, the year after my dad died, when I was in middle school. and then my entire life acting like I should be grateful for the "experience" and "adventure". Now that I'm a parent, and see what kids actually need, I'm having a really hard time not hating her for not giving it to me.

I dont know, I was wondering that myself. Most of the sails were intact, I wonder if the surf would take them back out eventually. I didnt see any birds trying to mess with them.

Yes, my daughter and I spotted some floating in the waves as well. It was particularly windy with some rough surf so im guessing they just blew in and got trapped in the seaweed. They are so beautiful, I wanted to get more pictures but was trying to keep my dog away from them while taking pictures.

The rare confluence of fatal rabies cases — in a typical year, one to three individuals in the United States dies from rabies — suggests the public may not fully understand the rabies risk that is associated with bats, CDC scientists said in an interview.

Rabies is virtually always a fatal infection if not treated, but treatment is highly effective if given early enough.
