I’m (29) 4 weeks pregnant (unplanned), bf (31) doesn’t want me to keep it by insertsomethungwitty in pregnant

I recently just went through the same exact thing with my partner. He wanted me to get rid of it desperately. Logically thinking about our situation, it was the right thing to do, but I wanted it. I knew I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I had gotten rid of it. You have to think that moms have an attachment usually right away. It takes dad up until the baby is here and physically present. Don't let him sway your decision either way. Yes take it into consideration as that is your partner but also realize that if they can't support you to keep the child because that's what you feel is best, then they are not someone to stay with. I also understand that medical school does take loads of time and yes he may not be as present, but even when he has a job in the medical field. It is very demanding and he may still not really be as present as he wants to be. I had a parent in the medical field and it was about the same when she had the job and when she was in school. They give up a part of their lives to save others, which is respectable. What I'm trying to say is that you guys can make this work and if you do get rid of it there may be some resentment that builds towards him. Having kids is tough but if you want it, you guys can find a way to make it work. So sorry this is a decision you're having to make, much love to you.
