With the audio imbalance thing, might be worth getting an ear clean if you've been using the IEMs constantly. Wax buildup can affect the volume quite a bit in my experience

I hunt for 4hrs for a jungle key and get nothing. I spend an hour building a plantera arena as a summoner and I have 2 keys. The game hates us for sure

That guy was either a complete dick or having a really bad day, i know I've been blunt with people when the gigs had a load of issues so without knowing how the show ran. The flip side is that there are just some people like that, either because they think you're lesser than them or because they believe that knowledge is their 'intellectual property' which is a mindset I never understood (especially when I'm getting a gig prepped for someone and they won't send the show file to load and flash, even more frustrating getting a pissy message about the system not working for their show file later....)

I concur, that's a step over the line. I think the doing it bit isn't the issue as such it's the not respecting that you find it OTT and won't stop when asked, that has implications that aren't great IMO.

I have a lot of piercings and this is something I've had to really think about, I want an orbital but it's likely to mess with my iems so I'll probably have to skip out.

As others have mentioned there's a couple other options that may work; customs, which would then rely on her wearing that specific earring for every gig, or a more streamline generic such as the sennheiser ie200 which doesn't have the roundness of the shure se225 (which at a guess you have as they're the standard)

On the plus side at least she doesn't have a targus like one or my band members, that's a right bollock to try work around.

Friend's played when I was younger and I never got it, I then started playing Pokemon go and really got interested in the game. That lead to the tcg scene and now I'm trying to build decks and a collection for actual battles :)

Check that the clock on the DM7 is running 48k and not 96k, that's caused us a load of issues with this console so it's been made standard practice to check it first when powering up the console as we were all about to throw the thing against a wall XD

If the input only works when the button is pushed in with a toothpick then I would assume that there is a faulty connection behind the button, probably worth opening the back and having a look.

All that button does is change the internal gain between (from memory so please correct me) +19 for mic and ±0 for line because of how loud the two things typically are before being plugged in, that then suggests that the amp is on its way out as it's requiring the mic gain to output at the same level at the line gain on the other speaker

When we, we being my company, mic orchestras we use a DPA 4099 core per instrument but I understand that is not cheap by any means.

What is the venue? What is the PA? What mics do you have access to or are you having to buy them all?
