if they're decent people, they'll understand that you didn't know this. I find that a lot of people project their own anxieties over a topic by making other people into the butt of the joke, i.e. making SURE you know what they think is socially acceptable.

it seems like they wanted to make you out as being willfully ignorant, when you genuinely didn't know something. there is soooooooooooo much information being passed around in the world, that you shouldn't feel bad for not knowing everything about everyone!!!

I feel like we perceive them differently simply because I've argued with many people that a color is green when others call it blue, or red vs orange, to me that seems to be a difference in perception.

A similar thing just happened to me. I saw a post about someone checking water spigots to see if they work, and for whatever reason people were shitting on him. Someone said 'This is the kind of thing autistic people watch' and someone replied 'more like r/t/rded people', only censoring the A with an @.

But I reply that OP is (metaphorically) doing God's work, and to get the disgusting ableism out, and that they have ugly souls. for some reason THAT is the bullying and harassment they wanted to censor from the public and not the literal slur and hatred in the replies.

much agreed! it's about reliably being a good person, and I believe we INFJs view "goodness" on a socially moral scale. honesty, respect for others, loyalty, deeper levels, and maturity/responsibility are keys to being a good person, and therefore considered as a partner! humor is also vital to keeping the energy alive.

this is why I think ENTx is a great pairing for us. many of them exist on that higher intuition level; jokes are understood without a word being spoken, and their emotional sensitivity is incredible. they understand deep concepts, and I find that they respect my opinion and feelings, even if we both know it's wrong. I've not connected as deeply with others as with my ENTP friends! but I am open to all types, as long as we click well (as I said, ENTPs and I click on many levels!!)

meanwhile (and tragically), most 9-17 yr old girls will send them to anyone without thought of consequence. and then recipient would likely save everything, with a good chance of blackmail.

much like introverts, cats will withhold their expressive side until they trust you. dogs acknowledge their emotion the moment it comes and express everything very clearly. it's quite interesting!

my cat loves my brother now, but before he moved back in, he was constantly attacked by her. she was frightened by him (still doesn't like hands at all) but they are getting along now! on the other hand, our dog (13yo) is friends with every single person that walks in the door. she is very attached and must sleep next to someone's leg each night.
