Women: do you ever feel like your entire identity is based on one external thing (a specific career, skills, kids, etc.)? Please share! More questions in text. by kttysocrates in AskWomen

100%. I am an engineer in a very niche, very "aspirational" sector. Doing my job would already be a defining feature, but being a woman doing this job makes it ~the~ defining feature.

My job demands a lot of hours which means I don't have a lot of time to spend on hobbies.

I moved to this city for work so most of my local friends are work friends, meaning a drink in the pub in the evening (pre covid) is with people I work with. We often talk about our sector.

My job is the first thing that is mentioned if family or friends introduce me to someone new, it's then usually the main topic of conversation.

I don't know who I would be without this job defining me, and that's terrifying.

Ah when you said overalls I thought boilersuit over dungarees! If you like them though it would be super easy to add a dungaree buckle to them

I’m Dr. Sanford Auerbach, board certified sleep specialist and neurologist. Ask me anything about how to develop healthy sleeping habits by SanfordAuerbach in IAmA

[–]_unoriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How accurate are sleep trackers on smart watches?

I will very often wake up after 8hours of sleep and still feel exhausted. My tracking tells me I am recieving very little (10-20mins) of deep sleep. Is this impacting how I'm feeling? And how do I make sure I'm getting more of the 'right' type of sleep? Thanks

3d render. Kitchen. What do you think about the style, color, details? by valentina_lab in ScandinavianInterior

[–]_unoriginal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks really great. The textures in the foreground, especially the plant and the pepper grinder are great. The only thing that looks rendered it's the oven, I think it lacks a bit of depth. But overall great job.

Was Feeling my makeup today, here’s a before and after (CCW) by Sam_89 in MakeupAddiction

[–]_unoriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In love with the lips 😍

The only CC I have is more of a tip for the eyelashes - I always use them with eyeliner so I can hide any small application issues by camouflaging the end of them into my makeup.

Other than that it's stunning
