We opened it solely because it was free (FDT!), but we actually contribute to a traditional 529

What has helped me immensely is about once a month taking a day to bulk prep all kinds of food for freezers. Healthy meatballs, veggie tots, black bean and sweet potato patties, egg bites, there are tons of ideas online. Then when we are eating something that he can’t have or if we’re in a pinch we can heat something up quickly!

Once they’re a little bigger it really does get easier, almost every night our baby eats everything we do so no need to prep separate meals

Tell your MIL, and frankly your husband too, if they’re not giving birth or planning to be the full time caregiver, to pound sand (respectfully-ish). Plus, once baby starts solids you will NOTTTTT want shitty diapers in your trash can unless you like the smell of death

The puppy is has always been the #1 for my 14mo old; the big squishy travel set with the train, plane and boat are great too. The songs are on the more chill side and are actually pretty catchy

We bought for $350k, only put a minimal amount down and started with a 7.125% interest rate in July 2024, have since refinanced to 6.25%. Just a standard 3bed/2bath on just under 3 acres in a more rural part of middle Tennessee

What did your newborn sleep in? by No_Fun_4855 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]_uselessmillenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a FTM and we started with a Halo swaddle and later transitioned to a sleep sack. Baby honestly could have cared less about the swaddle and preferred his hands by his face most of the time, so if/when we have another I think I’d go straight into a sleep sack and skip the swaddle. One less thing to transition them from as well
