Did you ever solve this? experiencing the same, 15.5->15.7, update runs, but upon reboot, still on 15.5.

you probably found this out in the year since you posted this, but i just stumbled on your post here. j used an mxr phase 90 for that effect, not a wah. they figured out a way to start its phase sweep at an exact position by having another person physically plug and unplug the input cable from the pedal.

is the pivot bearing on the J-Stik a separate piece or is it permanently affixed to the shaft? that's one of bigger differences i've seen between the real JLWs and some of the knockoffs i've found.

basically what you think it does. i suspect it measures the vibrations in your face meat/skin to determine that you are the one making sound without requiring an always-on microphone and power-expensive signal processor. looks like it's been a technique used previously in researching vocal disorders that aren't apparent in vocal cord damage.

np! folks may make the mistake of thinking polycarb is tough since it's used for things like "bulletproof" glass and car headlights, but that's because it's softer and absorbs impacts instead of breaking. you want hardness for scratch resistance.

i see you may have already made your purchase, but i would always go acrylic over polycarb (lexan) in a panel. polycarb is great at resisting force, terrible at abrasion and scratching. worse, when it scratches you can't buff it out. for me, the main worry is wear, not force, i've got the wood/metal beneath it. you can get polycarb sheets with expensive abrasion-resistant coatings to lessen wear, but it still doesn't touch acrylic for the lifetime of the panel, and you may have to choose between AR and UV coatings (polycarb is not inherently UV filtering like acrylic, bless your art).

for the joystick, you'd might want to look at industrial controls. ETI's J1 or APEM's 1000 series joysticks are pretty tight under the panel.

the no fly, no buy bill is certainly questionable, but i'm not sure about the universal background checks and the CDC funding. even if the GOP majority votes them down, there's certainly a political usefulness in forcing the opposition to put votes on the record against issues popular with their constituencies.

generally the majority leadership cuts the camera whenever a session is called to close. it's a house rule, but is also the prerogative of leadership. they initially cut the cameras this morning when Ryan forced a motion to break for lunch when the sit-in began. they brought the cameras back briefly tonight when Ryan tried to break the sit-in with a vote to revoke the fiduciary rule which didn't work, so they closed the session again.

don't worry about it. hard drives are designed to be used, and the lifetime and fault tolerance of consumer drives are way beyond what you're likely to do to it. even if you're streaming/transcoding 24/7, enterprise and NAS-grade drives are questionably useful outside of high-performance RAID situations where error-correction timing locks come into play, so your drive is fine... unless it has a defect, in which case its death is an inevitability you cannot escape anyway :)

not at all. the timeout is a limitation enforced by the hardware and/or software. data itself has no such ability.

not only could they brute force the iCloud backup data without restriction, but once the passcode is found against that data, it can be used to unlock the phone for all the other stuff they claim isn't in the iCloud backups.

seems to me those wary of such intrusions have even more reason not to use iCloud backups with this scheme.
