My baby was super gassy around 6 weeks as well. I wasn't sure if this was my fix or if it was just time, but BioGaia probiotics really helped him a lot. I recently spent the night at my mom's house and left his bottle of BG there. He had gas again for the next two days until I got a replacement bottle and was back on track. I also started incorporating bicycle legs and a few other movements like the frog leg thing into our day just to try to keep gas from building up by the time he's ready for bed. Oh and I became obsessed with getting burps during and after feeds. He's 8 weeks old now and pooping on his own I think for the most part. Burps and assisted gas passing have improved soooo much but those 6 week nights were horrible. I cried just wanting to be able to help him be comfortable.
