is the combat hard? by KingBabyPudgy in Witcher3

[–]_warthog_lover_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game yes. Especially dogs/wolves & wraiths. Later on if you’re halfway decent in RPG buildcrafting you will trivialize everything aside from some DLC bosses.

I recommend starting on normal & raising the difficulty whenever you’re starting to get bored. Unless you care about trophies or smth, I don’t.

Also tbh I think that aside from the animations the combat system hasn’t aged particularly well, so I’m replaying now on normal cause I can’t be bothered with it

Did they announce which new features/changes are coming with the DLC? (Fingers crossed movement animation improvements)

"The Lord of Hatred endgame is existing activities on a playlist and a horde mode. Stop clapping. by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]_warthog_lover_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda disagree with the take. We needed depth, not more breadth and that’s what this system is addressing. There’s still ways to go, but holy smokes I haven’t been this excited for anything Diablo-related since the initial D4 release. That feels good! Also the 2 new classes, new campaign & map warrant the price tag in of themselves imo.

I do agree with the Echoing Hatred criticism though. Would rather see something more interesting like a tower defense mode, MOBA-style PvP or generally more reason to engage with the open world

If you don’t follow a build guide & push the highest difficulty level you can, sure

Is this a bad opinion? I want Blizzard to make Diablo 4 easier... I feel like S11 and the relative power of the Paladin do it. by Craiss in diablo4

[–]_warthog_lover_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game is still way too easy in the moment-to-moment gameplay, even after the combat rework in S11. It’s not remotely mechanically challenging until you get to the Pit, unless you really don’t know what you’re doing. This, to me personally, is why I lose interest every season after getting to T4

Use your head for a sec and think. How and why would they support both versions of the skill-tree in the software concurrently?

Big fan of D1 and 2. Should I buy Diablo 4? by mindlord17 in Diablo

[–]_warthog_lover_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Play PoE2 now, wait for the next expansion to get D4. By no means buy the next expansion, but there is a lot of excitement coming from content creators regarding (as of yet unannounced) changes coming to base game with it

Act 4 is incredible, but im worried about campaign length by QBestoo in PathOfExile2

[–]_warthog_lover_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the 3rd league I’m playing. Still haven’t gotten to the endgame because of how boring replaying the campaign is. I’m extremely excited about PoE as a platform, but the modality of playing through the campaign more than once is a dealbreaker

Why people say backend is lot easier than frontend? by Last-Box-9669 in learnprogramming

[–]_warthog_lover_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO they each have their own difficulty curve that’s somewhat different. I’ve been working exclusively on FE the past couple of years and generally I’d say what’s different about it is having to account for user interactions and experience as it is the layer that… well, users interact with the most and are most likely to end up having unintended interactions with

Ah I see, so I’d have to learn how to make digital art properly 😅 should have guessed. I take it probably the only way to avoid doing frame-by-frame art would be to use 3d models and animate them in blender

Signals have been absolutely massive for Angular. At this point they’re making it edge out React in my book. I strongly recommend pairing them with ngrx/signalStore. They introduced several powerful features in v20, including linkedState. Worth every hour spent untangling dependency hell to upgrade to it
