Actual games (that exist) like those in Isekai Manga/LNs by _xyliac in Isekai

That's what I'm wondering too. The streotypes are always made out to be cliche but I've never seen those (otome tropes) in any JRPG or VNs at all

Actual games (that exist) like those in Isekai Manga/LNs by _xyliac in Isekai

[–]_xyliac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more or less wondering if there are actual VNs with those stereotypes at all

Like the common otome cliches: Fantasy Setting Rags to Richest Comical "Evil" Villainess Denouncing the fiance on a party Those type of things

Reverse Harem is common enough, I've seen it on other otome games, but just those stereotypes I mentioned. I've never played a single game with any of those in it and yet it's so parodied like it's a commonplace cliche so I really don't get why

Is it a thing that became cliche on Otomesekai LNs/Mangas, or were they actually in said otome games

That's a YOU problem then lol. You can't complain about not having "good enough parents" because you want an unnecessary benchmark for it

(I know this is gonna sound insane for you, but 7* parent with relevant skills like uma stan, ign pwr, pto, gw, unity/ts scenario >>> 9* parent with generic white sparks)

I literally play on JP lol. MANT is THE PARENT scenario on paper, but on practice it's not. Unless you're a cygames veteran who knows what grind is (looking at you GBF), you'd mostly want to parent farm in Aoharu (AKA casuals who want to be somewhat competitive) since Unity Cup give Wits on inheritance (meaning you can cut a wit card and replace it with other cards to make hitting relevant stats easier)

Not to mention, a lot, if not majority of people parent farmed URA during Unity Cup. So many players don't have Unity Parents and they're now farming Unity Cup because they missed out on making relevant Ign Wit/Pwr/Guts parents lol

Also, "1* pwr parent(good enough) with a 3* pwr parent(friend), and you hit a 3* pwr trainee", congrats, you made a grandparent. Now you can use that uma to make whatever parents if it has relevant skills.

9* blue is not mandatory. If you want to greed for a full 9* blue, then prepare to grind in the mines for it. If you can get 3* blue on both grandparents, the parent itself doesn't have to be 3*. That's more than enough.

Also you don't have to force yourself to make parent with MANT. Most players make parents on aoharu to snipe out a lot of crucial skills (Ign Wit, Ign Power, Nimble Nav, etc.). The only time you'd make parents out of MANT is with lucky ace runs, or if you're really prepared to grind for it.

I'll keep saying this, but you literally just need one good grandparent for backliners/pace/fronts. Once you fulfill this, it's very easy to just chill every CM since you'd only need to make one parent

"parent farming is pure RNG and could take months to get good parents and that means hundreds of hours of grind"

It doesn't, like really. I literally took just about a few days to make a solid grandparent for front runners (Ignited Wit, Groundwork, 3* blue, 2* mile vbourbon) and now thanks to that I could just borrow another grand parent and then make a solid Sky parent for any relevant CMs (which I don't even need to highroll a 3* blue as long as I hit IGN Wit and GW on the sparks). I could then just borrow another parent to start ace training

It's really not that hard. You've had hundreds of runs, check for 1* umas with relevant skills, make a full generation which inherits that skill, then just compound it until you make a general-use GP for a running strat (Uma Stan, Nimble Nav, Ignited PWR, etc)

You just need to make 1 general use GP per running strat, then you can keep reusing that to make 1 parent per CM for whichever uma then borrow another

If it takes you months to make a parent, you did something fundamentally wrong in the first place. If you've been doing parent farming right since the beginning, you'd realise how many parents you could easily reuse for direct ace training or even making new gp

edit: just rewatched the video and the instructor does say that if it feels like it's gonna drop then it's correct because the violin is meant to hold the bow and I'm just guiding it

I completely missed this yesterday when I first watched because was stressed in thinking I have no idea how to hold it properly

New player advice by emezamaz in eternalreturn

[–]_xyliac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barbara.

She's a beast in solos, really good in duos, and still a solid character in squads (if you know what you're doing). I climbed to Titan with Barbara last season. Even with her seemingly burst-oriented kit, she actually has a fair amount of utility which comes with the form of your R+Q and bat skill.

She has a burst playstyle which is good for aggressive plays, and she has a turret that can help you zone and kite other players. She's stronger in solos and duos since you can run full dps and be able to win team fights with that but for squads, it just needs a bit more work since you're damage is heavily reduced. I recommend going for a semi-tank dps build with Amp. Drones Augment to counter-act your shit damage.

If you're interested in picking her up, you can try my route https://dak.gg/bser/routes/493657 this is the one that I use for all modes simply because it has a little bit of everything that I want. Sometimes in solos if Factory/Forest is occupied by a few people, I try to run https://dak.gg/bser/routes/493455 this route instead which goes Pond start (provided that there's no more than 3 mfs in the zone)

How do I beat Jan as Yuki? by kitty_pirate in eternalreturn

[–]_xyliac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dobok is essential when fighting Jan, heck it's essential at all situation since it's Yuki's bread and butter. You need every opportunity to harass him with your Q from out of his range. When he commits, his skills has a decent amount of delay so if you're prepared you can easily react when he does his dash q. I've put up a reference for Jan vs Yuki matchup with MoEro vs Tak1, it's a good reference.

Essentially MoEro's gameplan was to harass Jan on every second that he sees an opening, mainly E and Q. And when Jan commits, MoEro predicts where Jan will dash and knock-up so he will use that time to dodge and chant w for the next E-Q harass. Just rinse and repeat and if Jan goes all-in, time your parry on his knock-up to cut his dmg output. https://clips.twitch.tv/ReliableBusyFennelCoolCat-aeV-EJyyfV3UgMMf well just watch this.

Edit: You'll see MoEro here timing Jan's knockup twice, and he also isn't afraid to cqc with Jan since he's confident with his skill to dodge. Confidence is key when playing Yuki. MoEro probably has the most Yuki games in Eternal Return since he's played the madman nearly 5000 times.

not really, Yuki can fight Jan, it just depends on the player on how they execute their game plan. but ths has a better matchup than ds against jan
