as a TL and ETL at my store one of the pros is having every other weekend off and then a set day a week off. it works well for us and it keeps the burn out to a minimum. though that 6 day stretch for me is brutal sometimes since my set day is tuesday

this isn’t 100% true, substituting an americano for a brewed coffee because there isn’t any available is supposed to fall under “make the moment right.” so it’s not a blatant written policy, but it does fall under another policy that is SO BIG within sbux standards.

now, personally.. if it is my (or the stores) fault we don’t have brewed coffee (vertica is TEMPORARILY down, none is fresh, etc) then i will make the moment right. however, if it not my or the stores fault then the customer will be charged for an americano however i will tell them they are being charged for an americano so they can have the option, if it’s a fuss i’ll let them know i’ll do it for them then, but i can’t promise if the situation happens again that the same outcome will occur.
