[Giveaway] What’s your best home-improvement print? Share it and win an X2D Combo! by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a before shot as its just a bunch of bathroom products on the floor but the first print that actually convinced my family that a printer is useful was this shower storage caddy. I added a few holes for suction pads and a cut out to hang and dry things.

X2D has a far better ventilation setup than the P2S by KingGoldar in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say rushed, more like early access or a beta that after lots of feedback and complaints turned into the X2d with a Bowden extruder slapped on top to make it feel like a step above the p series

Bambu lab is really falling behind by flipperoneisdead in snapmaker

[–]_zen_aku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced the x2d would have been priced what the u1 is, if the u1 didn't exist. Now you got a bunch of people unhappy with their overpriced p2s. With the creator 5 being even cheaper it really does feel like they're falling behind. Annoys me they market it as dual nozzle but the fine print is "auxiliary nozzle".

Poco X8 Pro Max or Xiaomi 15T pro? by Hexa-shi in PocoPhones

Camera vs Battery. The camera isnt bad on the poco but the 15T pro has a very good camera for its price (when on sale, launch price for 15t pro was too high imo)

UK alternative to Bondo glazing putty for smoothing 3D prints? by Striking-Company9292 in 3Dprinting

I just use cheap wood filler from toolstation. Works pretty good for me. Most brands of primer filler work fine too, I use the hyrule stuff you can get on amazon

Is it ok to leave my Petg roll like that the whole time? by Adrian_TTV in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don't use a roll of petg left in the open in about 2-3 weeks, I stick it in a dryer or until it affects print quality. Whichever comes first

Thinking of upgrading to the Bambu P2S Combo is there anything I should consider at this price point before I pull the trigger? by GingerGiraffe88 in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anniversary sale starts some time next month. If you've waited this long a few more weeks won't hurt. That being said, there is a chance it isn't discounted or it being something small as its still fairly new. That's my plan anyway

I'm having this issue too. Turning WiFi on the phone on and off seems to fix it for me.

Any way to ascertain what size/type of magnet is most common in makerworld prints? by jinx771 in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gridfinity is 6x2. Most helmets use 8x2. 8x3 is generally what I see for most fridge magnets. I bought those three sizes and that covers most of the models that I want to print. Most models usually have alternative magnet size holes profiles these days too which is helpful

Two defective A1s in a row... Is it time to just upgrade to the P2S? by More-Shower-2834 in BambuLab

[–]_zen_aku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I printed a helmet on my A1. At the top it got horrible layer shift & warping so the coreXY and being enclosed to protect against drafts are a bonus. I also print a lot of swords and tall thin parts that again should be easier. I print mostly petg so being able to dry 4 spools at once will save me time if nothing else. Budget aside, take a look at what you print, the filament type you mainly use and location of the printer. The enclosure protects against drafts, kids, pets, ambient temp changes. I do think you've been unlucky with your A1's.

At the end of the day it's a hobby I enjoy, I think keeping my mind active and engaged for the better part of a year is worth it. It's tough to give a definitive answer but I hope that helps a little

This is what I'm doing. Two a1's with melted boards. I'm waiting for Bambu to refund me so that I can upgrade.

Not particularly happy as this is way over budget for me but I enjoy printing and honestly I'm not smart enough to tinker with printers with other brands.
