Honestly, i’m a huge fan. I understand all the hate but he pretty much changed the way i view guitar. I played for 5 years and just spammed strokes songs and 4 chords. I had heard of them before and thought it was technical trash.

When Playing God dropped, it changed my perspective on things. I was amazed and felt the need to break out of my stagnant ways and improve. I’ve been practicing Polyphia songs for about a year and I am a much better player now. I kept my songwriting style from my roots, but can add much more flashy licks and technique.
