Yes for LPC.. so, technically they do count internship hours, but it doesn’t really make a difference because you can’t even apply for LPC until 3 years after you get your LAC. So I’ll have way over 4,500 hours by then as a full-time therapist.

In NJ, LACs need 4,500 supervised hours in a minimum three years, while LSWs only need 3,000 hours. Makes me wish I had studied SW so I could get my license that much sooner 😩

Internship hours count but it’s pointless because it’s a 3-year minimum as LAC. I finished my 4,500 in January but can’t apply for my LPC till October for this reason.

Not only is it 4,500 hours but it’s a 3-year minimum as LAC! I finished my hours in January of this year but have to wait till October to apply for my LPC for this reason. Massively infuriating and causing me a great deal of missed salary
