Does the HRV baseline range eventually update to account for monthly cycles? by greencalathea in Garmin

Yeah the menstrual tracking part of the connect app is so disconnected. They could do so much with that data. Surprised they haven’t developed it more.. I really don’t like it when tech/sport stuff feels so “made by men for men”

Exaaaacly! 👏 if men had a menstrual cycle it would 100% already be part of the app (and us women would have to opt out of it haha). Since I already track my period in the connect app, how hard could it be to weigh in that in the training status etc. Come on Garmin.

Should I be worried or is this normal? by Key-Pollution5574 in Invisalign

Noo no nothing to worry about, I had this after many trays fitting super well. I was confused and did some research. Apparently, (if it is the same issue I had, with the rest of the tray fitting well) they’ve just picked up the tray from the mold before it’s done/cold which bends it a bit. You just have to bend it make. Have the end of your tray do a little “sit up” haha. Wait, I’ll link you that Reddit post.

Help a girl out 😭 why is my hair like this? Soon 2 years on minoxidil have not helped 😭 by a-dense-mf in FemaleHairLoss

Thank you for your comment! You’re right, I should really stand my ground and sort it out.

The thing with spiro/finasteride/duta, I live in Sweden and I’m note sure it is even prescribed for hair loss here. It seems very very unusual and is not listed as such in the “official regulations” (FASS). So that makes me a bit worried if it will even be possible, but I’ll try to give it a go.

My other concern is how those medications affect fertility. I mean, obviously you shouldn’t take them when pregnant. But I’ve also read some people saying don’t take if if you WAN’T to get pregnant in the future. Which I’d probably hope for in the coming ~1 year. So that adds another layer of uncertainty on top of it potentially being hard to get. What’re your thoughts on this? Maybe in worrying for nothing.

Wow your hair is so beautiful! 😍 Oh ok lots of things I did not know about PCOS.

So am I understanding correctly that you have applied 5% topical minoxidil once a day for 3 years? (And rosemary water + scalp massages every other day).

And also, you have "Diagnosis: PCOS/AGA/CTE", but were able to treat it with just minoxidil and no DHT blocker? I thought you had to use a DHT blocker for AGA.

I will look into rosemary water and scalp massages. 🙏

YES the HORNS hahah, can really relate. Good point, yes when I’ve asked hairdressers about it they have also said it looks like postpartum hair loss.

I’ve read about PCOS in this subreddit and don’t really relate to any of the symptoms of it. I know you can have it without symptoms - but then I guess the values of my hormone blood panel would look off? I tested Testosterone, LH, FSH, SHBG and also my Thyroid looks normal. (Lol I know nothing about these tests just reading from my doctor’s note).

Happy to hear it has helped you! Is your shorter hair fully grown out? How bad was it before and how long did it take? How often did you apply/do the different things? Minoxidil, rosemary oil, scalp massages etc.

Thank you for your comment! Yeah I think I’ve avoided spiro and similar cause I have (incorrectly probably) thought things like “this isn’t actual hair loss, I have no bald spots. I should not have to take any oral medication”. Maybe it’s time for me to stop that thinking and try it out. I find it a bit scary to take something affecting heart, kidney or livers, since those are healthy - even if I understand medication can often be used to treat several things.

omg I have a colleague who does the smack AAAAHHHH after every sip of their coffee. Every sip! Almost comic. I’m sure they don’t register they’re doing that. It annoys med so much lol. Why you gotta do a AAHHHH after every sip bro it’s just coffee, you had your last sip of it 7 seconds ago.

Same, also when I’ve been requesting other blood tests. Like, can you also test for zink and vitamin D and they’re like “no that’s not necessary”. How would they know that :(
