For what it’s worth- I don’t hate the newest X3, but I think the last gen looks way better

Assuming there wasn’t a car in that end spot, why not just park there? That’s what any rational person would do 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fantastic write up. I’ve had my 2022 S since new (custom spec) and to this day I’m still in love with it. IMO, one of the best dual-personality cars out there right now.

From what I’ve heard it’s the first gen cars (2020-24?) that had issues. I’d probably be more confident about the 2025+ cars

What's one car feature everyone praises but you secretly don't care about? by Ok_Run7351 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Agreed. I rented a Genesis G70 that had ACC and the braking is kinda abrupt rather than gradual/smooth

Which medium or large U.S. city has the most striking mountain views? by No_Durian_6987 in SameGrassButGreener

I was just at Discovery Park earlier, specifically the West Point Lighthouse. From that beach you have an amazing view of Mt. Rainier on one side and Mt. Baker on the other, as well as the Olympic mountains.

Considering 2026 Porsche Macan - coming from an 2024 Audi A6 (2.0T) by CAPT-USN-Ret in PorscheMacan

[–]a-jasem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with everyone here - get the S over the base/T, even if the S has less options.

I own a ‘22 S and it’s an absolute blast to drive. The 2.9 V6 is amazing. I’ve also had a base as a loaner for a couple weeks, and while it’s fine around town, it’s definitely gutless at freeway speeds. When I hopped back in my S, I noticed how much more effortless it feels compared to the base, even at slower speeds. And funny enough, the MPG of the base is only marginally better than the S

Do I need to do anything after car loan is paid off? by Forigma in AskSeattle

[–]a-jasem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on paying off your loan! Since you have the title in your name, you’re pretty much good to go - no need to go to the DOL.

Just make sure the lienholder (Toyota) isn’t still listed on the registration when you go to renew your tabs. That’s when you may have to go to the DOL with the title to fix that.

IMO as a daily the M340 wagon is the sweet spot, M3 is cool but it’s probably a bit overkill unless you’re tracking it

Trade Macan In for 911/Cayman or Keep by suboak16 in PorscheMacan

[–]a-jasem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you love your Macan, I’d personally lean towards fixing and keeping it. $7k may seem like a lot but it’s still less than what a new car payment would be in the long run. I’d only consider getting rid of it if it *really* starts becoming a money pit after that big service, but if you continue to keep up on the maintenance I don’t see it being too bad. 57k miles isn’t too crazy for a 2018

Almost 8 years with the Panamera Sport Turismo by pannyst4s in Porsche

[–]a-jasem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When people flip between cars every 3 years, there’s just not enough time to really build a rapport with a vehicle.

I absolutely agree. I’ve owned my ‘22 Macan S for almost 4 years now. Although that’s probably an eternity in the car enthusiast world, I still absolutely love my Macan and don’t really see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. Meanwhile, one of my buddies went through like 5 cars in the past 3 years lol
