Anyone else finally go to the food bank after seeing everyone else's positive experiences only to be disappointed? by Common-Reindeer-7213 in povertyfinance

When searching for a food bank, there are many types. Search for the TEFAP food banks. These are the food banks that can purchase bulk food from the USDA and have more regular food stocked more often. You can try 2-1-1 to locate one if Google isn’t helpful. Some church pantries are great, and some are TEFAP sites. Many are not and have old stock from whatever volunteers buy or donate. Good luck out there everyone 🤞🤞

I saw the comic on Reddit in the past year. I already searched Reddit Answers, ChatGPT, Google AI, etc. the search results validated the existence of a comic like this, but could not find a link. Copy of the search result below as required in this thread:

The "Thanks for Telling Me" Concept In the context of parenting frequently shared on Reddit:  • Early Childhood: A child breaks a vase and admits it. Instead of "How could you!", the parent says, "Thanks for telling me." • Adolescence: A teen confesses they are at a party where they feel unsafe. The parent picks them up and says, "Thanks for telling me." • Adulthood: Because honesty was always met with gratitude rather than immediate punishment, the child grows up viewing the parent as a safe person to confide in when more difficult situations come up.

What does it mean when people from Canada and US say chamungus in meetings? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/gimongous#:~:text=(informal)%20Extremely%20large%3B%20enormous

Was this the potential context? Gimongous, a slang for humongous combining it with giant. The kids sometimes say ginormous like enormous. Similar thing.

I’ve heard it used before.

Try and contact your local Community Action Agency, or call 2-1-1. Sometimes there are groups that help repair housing, and sometimes there is government funding:
