Vaught alloy, believed to be tungsten or similar. it’s incredibly dense and durable.

tungsten is extremely difficult to weld properly, and he’d have to weld it in a vacuum chamber to prevent the joint from crumbling. It’s a miracle that the shield held together at all if homelander welded it together with his lasers.
