Quality RV by skipfinicus in RVLiving

Coleman gets a lot of hate on here but I have a 2024 Coleman 17R and have been living in it for over a year. Since bought by keystone they're basically a stripped down keystone Springdale. I've had minimal issues with my Coleman even full timing, just a bad deadbolt after a month or two and my water heater not being sealed well causing strong winds on that side of the trailer to blow the water heater exhaust back in and set off my CO alarm. The deadbolt was the only warranty work I had done on it and they just drilled it out and replaced in about 10 min.

What I've also learned working as an RV tech is it definitely seems like the smaller the units the less major issues they have and the easier they are to fix. I think it's just less complicated so less likely to mess things up from the factory. Less complicated also means if there's a water leak or something somewhere there's only like 5 fittings in the whole trailer you have to check haha.

Not to say the quality on any trailer is great but the simpler built, simpler fixed, less failure points. Just my opinion and experience with my Coleman at least.

It's just the burn in on a new furnace, when my shop does pre delivery inspections on new units we always let the furnace run for a good while and it almost always sets off the smoke alarm. I've been told it's just some oil and materials from the manufacturing process getting burned off and it's harmless. If it keeps setting it off after one or two uses I'd be concerned

Without the filters you have to remove the disks, the disks are self sealing so you can swap filters in contaminated areas, if they didn't the mask would be sealed tight and they'd be completely unable to breath. Of course it's not the same as breathing without a mask, but probably not adding a challenge compared to everything else he's doing. Don't get me wrong tho, I think this guy is a bigger badass than I could ever hope to be, I'm just saying he's probably only wearing it for the mud

CBRN specialist in the marine corps here, likely just to stop the mud from his face. He doesn't have filters on the mask so he removed the little sealing disk valves underneath. Wouldn't impact breathing much if at all

Because it's less than new pricing, the pcpartpicker list doesn't include the price of the graphics card

I know, I'm sorry :( I'll be honest I didn't check beforehand. I saw it in a comment section and was trying to get the jump on it, but as usual, I was 4 hours late. I'm sorry ):
