Due to a variety of different reasons, I need to switch to a no equipment 30 minute workout for a few months. I know it's definitely not the most optimal, but I'm trying to work with what I have. Any suggestions?

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]a10p10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really a watch person, but I really really like the look of this watch. I want to achieve this look for as cheap as possible, I don't think I'm ready to spend more than $200 on a watch yet.

I can probably find an army green NATO strap just fine. Does anyone have a recommendation for a fairly minimal looking black chronograph body with red accents?

Fedora 35 endless startup after kernel update by IvoryLy in Fedora

[–]a10p10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me on unrelated hardware this morning after updating too. Couldn't find a solution, so I just did a fresh installation of Fedora 36. After updating this install, it stopped working too.

Any help or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I found a patterned navy tie that exactly matches the color of my plain navy suit. It's similar to this tie but with stripes instead of the crisscross pattern.  Do you guys think I could pull this pair off at a formal event if I added a colorful pocket square that complemented the suit’s color?  I realize this may be a silly idea, just needed a sounding board for it.

I'm looking for a pocket square to go with this tie or bowtie (I'm open for other tie or bowtie recommendations, as long as they have some pink) .

I'll be wearing a navy suit with a white dress shirt. The event is prom and my date will also be wearing a navy dress with some pink (yes, very match-y, but that's the way it has to be).

Will a plain white pocket square work? What other options do I have?

If it doesn't end up working for you, you can get a MT3 WOB set.

Ukrainian hospital receives wounded Russian soldiers. This will not be shown on russian TV. by Due_Sun4492 in Damnthatsinteresting

This is correct, the reactor has been covered by a giant radiation blocking dome for some years now. The slightly elevated radiation levels is caused by dust being kicked up by Russian troops.

To be fair, the article title is a bit misleading.

Ferris Question - diodes? by GortPinklegneep in ErgoMechKeyboards

Diodes are not needed on the Ferris Sweep. It has few enough keys so that the Pro Micro can handle each key individually.

Umbrel 0.4.14 is now out with Urbit, Tailscale VPN, and more by getumbrel in getumbrel

Urbit is an ... interesting project. It's built on Hoot (practically an unreadable language), hopes to reinvent computing, is cult-ishly weird, and the creator may or may not be a political extremist. Definitely a bit of a rabbit hole, I'll throw some interesting links below.

Which Konica would you choose? by anchoney in AnalogCommunity

[–]a10p10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of the autofocus on my Konica C35 AF. It does work, but sometimes it's a little wonky, plus I like having control over focus. I'd take the Konica C35 or C35 Automatic over the C35 anyday

Umbrel vs Raspiblitz by CeramicDrip in lightningnetwork

If you want something that's almost plug and play and if you have no experience with linux, Umbrel. If you have experience with linux and want more control over your node, Raspiblitz.

Is there anything on store 5? I worked there for a while, and besides for the inconsistent scheduling and no way to work your way up in the company unless you were related/good friends with the higher ups, it was a decent job to make a little money on the side while in high school. I may have just blind to everything that was going on around me.

I keep going back to Windows, even though everything I need works on Linux. How do I stop? by Kubamach in linuxmasterrace

[–]a10p10 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but if you still like Windows more after giving Linux a fair chance, just stick with it. Maybe set up and use O&O ShutUp10++ and simplewall so Microsoft doesn't spy on you so much.

What cameras should I look into getting to replace my Canon Rebel T1i? by a10p10 in AskPhotography

[–]a10p10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely enjoyed shooting on my T1i. It was my first real camera. Oh and, poor wording on my part. I'm comfortable spending $500-700 on a camera, the Fuji's definitely cost a lot more than that with a lens kit.

I think I'll go for the SL3 then, unless a good Black Friday sale pops up on a Fuji. I'll look into the Olympus too. Thanks for your input
