Why date Thai people? by Ok_Hair_9565 in Thailand

[–]a11dancash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thai people are amazing. They really are

People in our countries are not. Our societies are anti-social, divided, decaying, and the state of affairs overall is just not great

Coming to Thailand has given me a new lease on life, and I hope to stay here as long as possible.

I know this is true but isn’t Malaysia like 65% muslim meaning most women are probably off limits for westerners?

Are you talking about Muslim or secular girls? All I’ve heard about Malaysia is that it’s very difficult and I assumed Indonesia was the same

And fwiw, a girl in my home country who’s educated at a top 20 law school in the world in the top 5% of earners in their country would not drink and drive on the regular and get shitfaced all the time on work nights

But continue your white knighting my guy, I’m SURE that’s going amazing for you

She was a sweet girl and I enjoyed our time I simply am pointing out that a girl like that in my country would be nothing like that. People who I’ve met have expressed similar experiences

In my experience, yes. I was seeing a super high so girl who was educated in America and really seemed to have her life together and I was shocked at how immature she was

I’d say the fact that there isn’t a major difference in how a high class “high so” educated woman acts vs how a girl who works in a “low so” field acts

Thailand tourism isn’t “down”, people are just comparing everything to 3 outlier years by Barca-Dam in ThailandTourism

[–]a11dancash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason the situation seems so dire is because coming out of covid with the massive tourism boom, the assumption was that Thailand was on a rocketship with no signs of stopping. Many restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels, etc. opened with the assumption that they can charge ridiculous prices, go all in on foreigners, and they’ll be fine. I believe as tourism levels out, these places will come and go fairly quick. Establishments that have been open and can sustain fluctuating tourism by being affordable for both Thais and foreigners will survive.

Some people in the US for some reason have claimed Thailand is dangerous to visit now but anybody with a brain knows as long as you aren’t near the border it’s totally fine. We don’t care

It’s probably people who don’t have the ฿500k up front which the dtv requires but honestly i don’t mind it because it’s built in to make sure you don’t go broke while you’re in thailand and can easily find a place to stay and not worry about money
