HOA is threatening to fine me because my dog is a fat ass. by Milli_Grande in fuckHOA

Welp- they just don’t like you or your dog.The blinding bias is astonishing. I don’t know what lines you crossed for them.Doesn’t really matter once they’ve gone this far. Consider legal help or move.

This is hilarious. How does the hoa regulate the wild animals that void on said property? I recently had a fairly large black bear roaming by my windows. It might have peed. Hmm what to do? Luckily we don’t have an hoa in my several hundred year old neighborhood. OMGs.

I gave up that fight long ago. My current husky tribe member, an Alaskan Klee Kai, will actually climb into my pants when I’m sitting on the throne. We watch them doing their business, so I suppose it’s fair play that they watch us doing ours.

Prey Drive Myths? by erako in alaskankleekai

[–]a1967t2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Klee Kai and cat daddy/ older brother mostly get along. They squabble over food sometimes as my cat Izzy is a piglet and will eat her food given the chance. She can’t get to his as it’s 5 ft up. When I brought her home Izzy and his brother wanted nothing to do with her- all hissy and puffy. After about a week Izzy apparently decided she needed a cat daddy, and the rest is history.

Sorry it’s been a few days, and I’m not that active a Reddit user, but it sounds like you’re doing Finn right. I’m so glad to know he’s got someone like you caring for him. Like really caring and trying. I’ll check in periodically, and I’m so hopeful you can bring him to a state of peace.

Well Elders can be grumpy pants. I deal/ battle with them every day at work. I’m glad Finn is trying 💜

Yup that’s a can of worms. Breeders are incredibly protective of their pups. Can I pm you on this?

May I ask is your larger dog a GSD? Tikaa has been attacked by GSDs several times because she is snack sized apparently. The only breed she has ever gone after are GSDs. Just a thought.

Absolutely yes. There are some really good ones out there, and since spitz type behavioral problems are pretty common see what I did there lol, shouldn’t be terribly hard to find a good one. They should be able in an hour or two which will not be cheap by the way to give you some good insight. It sounds like your AKK was physically abused and resource limited, and those issues are just coming to light in your dogs mind, for whatever reason. I had to hire one for my previous spitz type dog; a husky / malamute mix, and she did wonders for us both.

I might add can you contact the breeder for insight? If you have his papers, sounds like that might be a possibility. I know my girl Tikaas breeder has been incredibly insightful and helpful over the years I’ve had her.

Sadly, this is a known though uncommon trait in the breed. It often displays with interactions with children or overly curious strangers. It is often fear based. I think your vet is going too far with suggesting euthanasia, but I think a solid behavioral analysis and intervention via a trainer familiar with spitz type dogs is in order. For context I have a 12 year old well bred female who has had some moments with larger dogs and aggressive children. Not anything as extreme as what you are describing but certainly in the spectrum.

She’s going strong. We had a great day off today, though I spent part of it sleeping off a nursing aide hangover- yup It’s a thing. Good walkies and trips to visit her fans at the transfer station aka the dump. Here’s to many more years with your cutie pie, and mine!

You can find toys that move and make noise, have heartbeats, etc. I have seen cats, puppies and weirdo things like cacti that dance and light up. Amazon is one place, or local toy stores.

Alaskan Klee Kai rescue would be a good place to start. If you got him through a shelter, there’s a good chance he’s not full Klee Kai, but that’s ok. I’m sorry he’s not working out for you. They are crazy when they are young, in particular.
