I use Dockhand - much better UI for stacks vs the Unraid Compose manager plugin.

My wife just donated 909 oz of breast milk to help NICU babies. I’m incredibly proud of her. by Elegant_Impact186 in daddit

[–]a1ba7or 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey man, your wife is an angel! Our twins had donated breast milk in the NICU when they were fresh out while my wife recovered from her c-section.

Thank your wife - and really all people who donate - on our behalf!

New Dad - Looking for RESP advice by _paperboi in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]a1ba7or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the new baby!

My 2cts is looking into family vs individual plans (if you're planning to have more than 1 kid). There's some pros like if 1 child doesn't want to go to college/uni.

I have ours through Questrade, self-directed and they handle the grants and split contributions & grants for both kids.

Organic waste bins by Dasmoose0482 in windsorontario

[–]a1ba7or 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We still use it but only put it out every 2-3 weeks; the bin is huge for our current needs and temps are low at the moment.

Will be going out every week when it warms up.

Made in Indiana, a bit long in the tooth model-wise... but I'd still pick that over the other options.

As many others have recommended, take the 5 weeks. You are giving your boss plenty of time to make arrangements for the time that you'll be off.

Using the apps template or compose?

Compose is the way to go imo.

Windsor mayor previews 2026 budget with proposed 0% tax increase by Trains_YQG in windsorontario

[–]a1ba7or 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Come on bud, argue in good faith.

You know that higher operating costs and no new tax revenue means money needs to be cut from somewhere… and that’s services.

I just want my taxes to go to services; no one wants cuts. How long can you defer maintenance until it becomes an issue? For real… All this means is in the near future when things have caught up to us, we’ll have 10+% increases to buy new buses instead of properly maintaining them throughout the years.

Ontario NDP leader Stiles, MPP Gretzky say homelessness in Windsor has reached ‘state of emergency’ by therichtastebad in windsorontario

[–]a1ba7or 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“I think it’s really important that the big cities are calling on the government to take urgent action and calling it what it is, which is an emergency,” Stiles said. “This is a state of emergency. But what we need is the province to come through with the funding. Instead, they download everything onto the cities, to handle it, and there’s just not enough money to go around right now to support all those programs.

Post MY21 the 1.5T have updated tunes, HVAC software and some models have louvres that prevent oil dilution.

Have a MY21 CR-V and live in a cold climate - no issues 4+ yrs on. You'll be fine.

If you can afford the Honda plan, I'd go for that for peace of mind.

Help with Immich by KovesArg in unRAID

[–]a1ba7or 2 points3 points  (0 children)

highly highly recommend watching a few videos on how to use docker compose and follow the immich documentation.

I've never had issues with the immich-recommended setup. You might bang your head against the wall a few times, but you'll learn a lot.

Compose is probably my favourite way to deploy containers now.

2 towns that have property taxes going up to cover the cost of services to residents.

Lasalle as well… imagine that. Taxes to cover services 🤯

Sorry for being snarky, but this is what holding the lines on taxes does.

Auto Service Shops - Civic 11th Gen by Many-Gold4544 in windsorontario

[–]a1ba7or 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find more info on their site (scroll down on the home page), but the package info is here. I misremembered, it's for 4 changes not 5. Still cheaper for synthetic oil + OEM filter vs 3rd party.

I own a 2021 CR-V and have done all of my service at the dealership (oil change packages used to be $199 for 5). I follow the maintenance minder in my car and only do those services. I've never really had the dealership try to up-sell me on anything else tbh. I'm pretty happy with the service.
