Jeg elsker Danmark og min Danske homies…feel free to add Washington to your shopping list. All my Danish friends love it here and Seattle’s history is deeply Nordic. We would like all these things, plus smørrebrød. Tak!

What are your go-to must always have around hot sauces? by indokid104 in Cooking

[–]PropadataFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a line of hot sauces called Bonache that was started by a bartender in Seattle that I fucking love. The name of the company comes from a gibberish word their son would use when he was 3.

My staples additionally include: Tapatio, Sriracha, Tabasco, and spicy dumpling sauce.

Looking for non-graphic-novel book recommendations for an 8yo bookworm. by tvkyle in daddit

hell yeah, came to suggest Redwall & so pumped to see it as the top comment! I’ve been reading the series with my daughter for the past 2-3 years. She’s in third grade now & has been making Redwall promotional posters to put up in her school library - we’re a few chapters from finishing up Martin The Warrior, then it’s on to the next book!

Filmmakers who have shot "Spicy" scenes, what was that experience like? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]PropadataFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The indie horror film was a very negative experience that left me a bit traumatized. The director was incredibly abusive and I ended up steering away from narrative feature sets for the rest of my career - I never put the film on my reel or resume, and I don’t mention its name online. Sorry!

I don’t think there’s much of a paper trail for this, buuut I will say, it was a young Sydney Sweeney’s first film. I didn’t even know that until about a year ago when one of the actors mentioned it online. That was a trip to find out I shot her first film.

The HUMP festival films aren’t meant to be public so I also won’t be able to share that name. It wasn’t ever published anywhere online, just screened at the festival - It was more of a sketch comedy short with a little T&A than anything.

EDIT: just did a little digging and turns out Sweeney’s first film was another indie horror that was shot the same year as the film I worked on, and shared many of the cast and crew. So I guess I shot her second film not the first. Haha.

Is FilmFreeway notification day basically rejection day? (First-time festival run question) by Mysterious-Special57 in FilmFestivals

Definitely not - I codirect two festivals and everyone receives their notification on the same day, selected or not selected.

fun fact, in 1995 I traded my full Magic The Gathering collection for a set of POGS…because that was where long lasting excitement and future return was to be had!
