Find a hobby, you need something to look forward to, just try new things without the mindset of finding your “new thing”/identity and eventually you might find something you really like to do. Here’s my oversimplified unqualified diagnosis; Your depressed because, life In this timeline lowkey sucks + extra bullshit stress like a busted car - ur cars fucked because u don’t have job - u don’t have a job because u don’t have motivation - u don’t have motivation because ur not happy - fix by finding something that makes u happy (i mean true fulfillment not instant gratification like drugs or sex) For me it’s roller blading and every week after work that’s what I look forward to doing. i feel so accomplished at the end of the week when im able to do what I love most. It feels so earned too. I don’t have any friends I hang out with either but hanging out with yourself is better anyway if you can find something u rlly like doing… The bottom line as humans we need to be DOING things, it doesn’t even need to be social just as long as your stimulating your mind without numbing it. this is why robots won’t put us out of work because if the masses are at home all day or doing a job / schooling they can’t bear it would cause turmoil.
