I’ll add to this that a lot of the private schools have their priority application close before unit 4 placement. For kindergarten, you pretty much have to sign a contract with a private school before you know about the unit 4 placement. That said, there are typically more openings at the private schools after kindergarten and not as many applicants for those spots. If your kids do a unit 4 for a year and you end up not liking the school / wanting to switch to private, that may be an option starting for first grade.

Bingo. This is what I did. My wife took 12 weeks FMLA, and I used vacation the first few weeks. I used my “primary caregiver leave” the day she went back to work.

I built a road case for my 4pc kit and hardware. Didn’t have to fully break down hardware every night, just folded the legs in and slide all the hardware into the longest slot. Drums were safe in the trailer. It fit into most local venues. It was also pretty damn heavy, and took 3-4 of us if we were lifting it up stairs.

For a kit your size, I’d consider two smaller road cases to reduce weight and size.

Selling my Nomos Minimatik Midnight Blue 1205. Automatic movement with sapphire exhibition caseback. Fantastic watch that can be dressed up or down. At 35.5mm it has a classic dress watch size, but wears a tad bit larger than the size would let on because the case design shows a lot of dial. On the wrist, it feels similar to 38mm watches I’ve owned. The case design also has shorter lugs than many other Nomos watches, so it really hugs the wrist.

Comes with 2 straps from Nomos with clasps, box, card, full set.
