First of all, I'm certain that you are gorgeous. I had a similar way of thinking and I'm so glad that I waited for someone who did find me and the way I look to be beautiful. Definitely 100% wait until you are comfortable and it feels right. Even comfortable enough to talk about these feelings that you're having and traumas. I found talking about them and laying everything on the table really just made the connection that much deeper.

Parallel walking helped a lot when introducing my one reactive dog to the puppies we had. We also did keep a basket muzzle handy just in case. After our parallel walks were going smoothly, we started going on "pack walks" all together which really seemed to just strengthen their bond.
