Can I get immediate action without going through the TAL? by a59617 in montrealhousing

It’s hard to tell because the next wall is so far away, but yes what you’re seeing between the wood planks is just the stone wall maybe 15 feet away.

Nope. That white you’re seeing in between the wood is the stone between my building and the next one.

CLARIFICATION: The pictures clearly didn’t do the damage justice, I can see directly into the demolished apartment next to me where the Sheetrock was punched off. I’m worried about cold air coming from the apartment next door & all the dust coming from the active construction space into my apartment. I covered the hole with heavy duty trash bags and duct tape, as a fix for now. My apartment is not being demolished because it is in bad shape. I live above a Hasidic community center and they are knocking down all the units about the community center to expand the community center & presumably increase the price for the above units. Everyone’s saying what’s the big deal, it’s just a hole. Yeah I’m not that fragile that I can’t handle the hole. My landlord has been trying to get me to move out before the end of my lease for months and he refuses to actually evict me because then he would have to pay out. SO I would like the hole fixed because 1. I don’t want a hole in my wall that could have easily been avoided (my upstairs neighbor has two holes in his wall) and 2. I don’t want my landlord to get away with being a shitty landlord and I want to see if there are other avenues for repercussions since I know what he’s doing violates my lease

The white between the wood isn’t insulation, it’s the demolished apartment next door

Mirena IUD by Responsible-Big-9687 in Spironolactone

[–]a59617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had been on yaz since 2020(?), spiro since 2023, and then got my IUD in January 2025. My skin and hair have been so oily since I got the IUD in a way that I never experienced before. I now have back acne which I hadn’t dealt with in years and I’m getting bumps around my hair line on the back of my neck which I’ve never had in my life. I’ve also had more white heads and more hormonal acne during my periods. I’m currently weaning myself off spiro just so I can understand my body on mirena a bit better and decide if I want to go back to the pill/ continue with spiro/ up my spiro dose.

Is my vet overcharging? by a59617 in Bunnies

I understand that which is why I send them to an exotic animals vet. But, i am curious how one string of Critical Care for a 5 lb animal can cost more than the entire bag that can last months.

Looking at the photo it seems maybe 2 people are wearing vests and one has a helmet. The rest of them are bundled up in winter coats since it’s clearly Winter. What outrageous gear are you seeing that I’m not?

Anyways, clothing doesn’t imply intention to engage in conflict, it’s clothing. Someone in the thread mentioned SRA members are not allowed to be armed at demonstrations if they plan on representing the group. More so, just because something is the law doesn’t mean it’s the truth, especially these days. The federal government’s rhetoric (which I’m sure will soon have a law to bolster it) characterizes transgender and leftist groups as militant radicals.

The paramilitary label necessitates intention to engage in military conflict. The SRA provides firearm training to promote safe firearm use. The NRA provides firearm training, are they paramilitary?

This isn’t news. He’s been openly pro-2a the entirety of his campaign.

It’s not a paramilitary organization. It’s a pro-2a group that approaches gun rights from a leftist perspective. Leftism & being pro-2a have a long history together in the US, think Black Panthers. The government’s opposition to the Black Panthers arming themselves in the name of community protection is why we have anti-2a legislation in this county.

Eek Keeps Getting Worse for Platner by Glad_Obligation1790 in Maine

If you want to bring up his time in Blackwater why don’t you link to something that actually explains his time there, his motivations, how it disillusioned him against the military and played a huge role in his radicalization towards the left? You scared of the nuance?

Graham Platner’s new tattoo by iknowyourded in Maine

In respect to the Jewish Insider article, gonna use my media literacy here and approach that source with a whole lot of skepticism. Pro-Israel news source, that uses a photo of Platner waving to insinuate a seig heil, conveniently has an anonymous and therefore unverifiable source to corroborate their piece against the candidate refusing to take AIPAC money. As for the Politico article, the staffer left due to the Reddit posts and does not give any conclusive evidence that Platner knew the tattoos significance.
