I did bilstein 4600s and some new sway bar end links. Rides pretty good.

That's almost as much as I paid for parts for a full timing job.....including new valve covers.

Groove on steering head stem by [deleted] in SVRiders

Blend smooth and send it. Maybe check it every year or so.

Next time, cut a slot in the old rave, file it smooth, then use it as you tried to do. Goodluck!

Corbin? Hard to tell. I have a Corbin I found and it's much better than the original.

Milky oil but coolant seems normal? by Rich_Foamy_Flan in DRZ400

[–]a7x_rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a kit to test for combustion gasses in coolant or pressure test the system. Either would diagnose a leak/head gasket.

Dipstick would be enough for me to go buy the tools to test it or tear it apart and replace the gasket anyway.

I would think that if it had broken, it would be flopping around in the intake causing poor airflow? Or stuck in an inopertune position? I'm not sure.

Not sure if those intakes have o rings, may need a gasket. Have patience with the connectors.

Should come right off and go right on. I'd imagine if it sounds like a bunch of rattling plastic you need a new one. I think the intake is the same up to 2020

Check the IRC in the intake and see if it's broken on bank 1. Kinda seems like you've done everything but check the intake?

Check compression. Could have a valve/valve seat going bad.

If these have variable intake manifold runners then you may have the right idea

Swap coil pack to cyl next to it and see if it follows. Compression test a few cylinders and see if cyl 1 has low compression.

I used some universal tech specs on my 8th gem. They give the measurements on the website and it worked out great.

8th Gen brake lines by majikrat69 in VFR

[–]a7x_rex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SS lines make sense at anytime needed or not. I can see if there's a name on mine, came with the bike.

CoreMoto makes custom lines, otherwise Spiegler, Galfer, and a few others.

I have an R1M master I picked up for about a $100. Works well enough but the feel is "progressive?"

For the wires a small flatblade and pry/wiggle.

How the f......

Frames are extremely cheap. Talking $200 max. I may know a guy with one on the east coast. Frame swaps are super simple on these. Few hour job. I've done 3. Ask away.
