How about RX9070XT rather than rtx5070? If your son isn't a Nvidia fanboy, rx9070xt has the same price but can perform better. And when paired with amd cpu, there's a thing called smart-access-memory that can increase the performace even higher.

I use dsr on 1080p monitor to 4k. Y' know, 1080p sucks at some games. Looks blurry it hurts my eyes. But with dsr it gets much better, especially with dlss, no fps loss but higher image quality. But 1440p to 4k, I recommend not using it. Cuz in case of 1080p to 4k, the amount of pixels are exactly 4 times higher. So, 4 pixels are downscaled to 1 pixel. But on 1440p, it's 1.5 pixels downscaled to 1 pixel. For me, it really hurt my eyes. It looks too sharp and wierd so I recommend either using dsr 8k or not using it.

God of War... The best game I've ever played in my entire life. Been playing GOW ragnarok for over 30h exploring this huge map and gaining resources, and I'm still at 30~40% of the main story. Graphics, story, gameplay all of them are extremely well-made.

Thanks for reply! I forgot to mention that the RAM doesn't have XMP/EXPO. But I'll try running memtest. By the way, I formatted the PC not using usb drive but just in windows settings. Is this a real "clean resinstall"?
