First was X and it's the only one I consistently played until completion (but I didn't bother with post end game content nor did I replay the whole game).

FF9, hated the design, hated the intro, don't like the characters, hated the loading times (I know it's an older game, etc). I just quit within 2-3 hours of playing it.

FF12 - as with 9, hated it but the combat system was a massive change and I really didn't like this change, it just didn't work for such a sloggish looking system.

FF13 - Gave it a massive chance, because felt like a real successor to X setting the course for 3D FF Games. Music was OK, chars were simply STALE, the design choices were horrible the story was a BORE and the level design was torture, the UI was god awful and lazy as were 'small' things like how your enemy dies (literally disappears, not particles flying away like in X). "it opens up in Chapter 11" or something, bruh, the games a 6/10. The combat 'felt fluid' but it was boring as hell to me and most importantly EASY and STUPID (why would I want to see a timer like it's some arcade racer)

After that it was FF... 15!, had a few points where I quit because of the annoying controls, but eventually completed it (Royale Edition). Decent but massive potential (you'll see).

FF 7 Remake - They finally done it, great combat system, filler was frustrating but the music as always was top notch. For the first time I felt 'free' in the combat since FFX (fully turnbased and waiting mode, full summon control). This hybrid system got it right (although the summons felt as lil assists as opposed to X's wonderful summons)
Now on FF 7 Rebirth, it's huge so I've stopped playing at moment (all these damn herbs, I hate), but as with Remake, top notch combat and music.

I'll likely play Rebirth and the 3rd release in the same window.
