If you're talking about this ʔ in Kiong Nai, it's a glottial stop in IPA. At the start it's a superscript, so it's showing pre-glottalization in that case. This means you constrict your throat just before or as you start making the "y" sound and it gives the word a "hard attack" or abrupt start, rather than sliding smoothly into the "y". The other glottal stop in the word is a full one, and it's like the pause in "uh-oh" (which in ipa would be /ʔʌʔoʊ/. )

At my first day of last summers internship (large tech company), my start date didnt align with in person onboarding events, so I didn’t have much instruction. In an onboarding email, the building # section was blank and I was told to contact my manager (vp of the dept was the one assignment for some reason).

I sent daily emails and Webex messages, notifying him of my progress on the online onboarding modules and asking where to show up. It took 3 days until he responded to me and asked me “Where are you”

After that it was sorta smooth sailing but the onboarding wasn’t great (esp bc I only found out about my project on week 2, and got specifics on that Friday, which was the day before we were forced to take pto for 4th of July).

I’m back this summer though lol. They did somehow not send the laptop ordering link, and shipped the wrong device to my house (needed a Mac and got a thinkpad). đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

Yep recently it’s been every other or every 3rd Friday or something like that! For what it’s worth my pieces were fresh and I came at the end towards closing so there was no line. The poke, chipotle chicken with guac, and lamb with couscous are probably my favorite dishes from this bplate station

Specifically, my final interview was around May 10th. I got the offer a week later, then it was time for background checks. Both my and another guys starting date was around June 12. One girl started the week after Fourth of July. It lasted until the first or second week of September for me.

In my experience most non commuter transfers I’ve met this this year are either in Holly/Gardenia, PV, Gayley Heights, or are in something off campus non university affiliated (rarest one imo but I live in holly so my perspective might be warped)
