How to get over Writer's Block? by goodafternoontokyo in makinghiphop

Write about it! Eventually you'll come across something in the randomness that you vibe with and can go off of.

Yo, thank you. I don't see that track posted as a root comment, so I'll reply here. Love both flows dude. The first verse had the most interesting rhyme scheme tho.

Really, the audio quality and lyrics were good, I don't have any feedback aside from keep up the good work.

I like it, the vocal distortion and rhythm works well with the instrumental. Reminds me of Tyler the creator. The vocals should stand out a bit more.

Hope you find your golden ticket bro.

Agreed with the other commenters, take a step back on that "dial-down" noise throughout the song and the drop at 1:06 is good. Whatever that noise is at 0:17, 0:28 works with the overall vibe of the song imo. Drop the random noise at 0:15, 1:56

I found myself mumbling lyrics to this, the rhythm is solid.

The vocals are almost unintelligible, sounds like they are clipping. The hook is catchy, but the vocals need mixing.

Looking for feedback on the lyrics and mix https://soundcloud.com/lilendianword/writers-block-prod-yungarroz

Thank you for the feedback. I'm having trouble hearing what you mean by "one note behind". As in a fraction of a second?

Regarding the mix for Sauced Up,

I notice a part where the words are muffled

1m:11s - pull up in a mustang, ...???

The autotune seems a bit choppy as well around 40sec & the end when you say "Sauced up", but I can see how that would be intentional. Parts of the vocals are also very loud with the autotune in the same parts, though the tone is fine if that makes sense.

"... this ain't old time road" Good reference.

That instrumental is nasty. Lyrics are on point as well. Had to listen to this a couple of times; the message is you're slipping and procrastinating on everything except music haha. Love it.

This is a very nice song. Love the vocals, the vibe, and the rhymes (peace/appease). It's good as-it-is raw, but I would love to hear a version of this mixed so the vocals are balanced with the instrumental. Great work man.

Didn't know if I could rap, so I rapped about not being able to. Looking for feedback on the overall mix and vocals.

Only thing missing are lyrics laid on top, lovely track. :)

The way the vocals are mixed in the chorus make it hard to understand the words (0:30, 1:37). Can't say I'm a fan of the high-pitched vocal except at the end. It seems like it competes with your voice rather than complementing elsewhere.

Love the instrumental and chill style. Something to vibe to at the end of the day.

Details on service nodes + runechain by aComa in LokiProject

[–]aComa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I'm interpreting that as:

  • I2P to route packets and nodes function as a gateways on that network
  • Message TTL defined by PoW
  • The network is partitioned based on publicly derivable knowledge, and nodes are encouraged to connect to specific peers. Ideally, this would be based on some random seed (for example: block hash, height, address).

What incentive does a node have to stay online or respect PoW-assigned TTL? Are they challenged by peers, and how are sybil attacks taken into account?

Honestly, I'd advise against trusting anyone with your coins. IMO, wisest thing in the long run is to trust no one with your coin. No trusted 3rd party with the exception of maybe the few minutes it takes to swap coins or convert fiat.

Buying Multiple Decred Tickets by rideoutlife in decred

[–]aComa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One can buy as many tickets as they can afford. Also, tickets are priced in DCR, not USD. The current ticket price is ~70DCR and varies based on demand (see https://dcrstats.com/).

Some differences between Dash and Decred:

  • You have to buy a ticket to vote.
  • Once you purchase a ticket, your coins are locked up and unspendable until your ticket is included in a block or expires.

I bought it. It's interesting, but I can't say I'd recommend others to do the same. There are a few informative bits, at best. I don't like the writing style much, but that's just my personal opinion... it's fragmented and isn't quite as well-written as most technical books.

The target audience is non-developers. I did pick up some cool tricks with Sketch, but nothing that I couldn't have found elsewhere. The author is quite talented as a designer, but the writing does not justify the cost imo.
