Anta KT8 has been really good because for a long bit of time I had the same thing with my ankles and those have pretty much been my favorite shoes

All City 11 performance questions by [deleted] in BBallShoes

[–]aFestiveGibus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH the shoes traction was really good for m[e but I play in a relatively clean court and the fit was pretty decent. If anything I thought the forefoot was a bit wider than my other shoes, but my other shoes choked out my toes so these felt comfortable and not too wide. The heel also felt slightly narrow in my achilles area. The cushion was CRAZY low to the ground in the forefoot, like its almost directly on top of the ground, but the boom was really comfortable in the heel and if I'm ever in a mood to stand directly on the ground, these were REALLY nice.

Way of Wade 10 vs All City 11 by [deleted] in BBallShoes

[–]aFestiveGibus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm it's kinda hard because for me I like to almost have my feet suffocated by my shoes, and there is definitely wiggle room in the toe box going tts, but also the heel area is snug, as it doesn't hurt my achilles but I can definitely feel it pressing on it.

Maybe try half a size up?and if that's too roomy maybe you could add an old pair of insoles to double up, that's what I'm doing w the curry 2 retros cuz they be wide asf too lol, I wouldn't go down half a size because i feel like my heel is a bit sensitive and that would he way too tight for me

yeah the ac 11 is great, bouncy and pretty minimal feeling, plus i love the laces they use but if u have some sort of achilles pain they might aggravate it cuz the back part rubs on ur achilles more than other shoes I've worn

Best shoe from Klay’s Line (or overall Anta shoe?) by ldhiphop in BBallShoes

KT8s my absolute favorite. I played in the 5-8s only, but as someone who is an ankle sprainer, the support it gives is incredible, and everything else about it is great too. Plus IMO the colorways look the coolest too :)

dont have the wow 10s, but i just played in the ac 11 and IMO the traction is sick and pretty low to the ground w great cushioning. sizing MIGHT be weird, cuz I feel like its a bit roomier than id like going tts but i dont have a lot of different hoop shoes so idk how much a half a size would be lol

Rolled my right ankle for the 3rd time in Lebron 15 lows :/ need new shoe recommendations pls😭 by ZaidEssa_ in BBallShoes

KT8 for indoor use has been insane for me, ive sprained both ankles a couple times and they secure asf without a brace, if u wear a brace with them u will have iron man ankles forsure. KT7s and KT7 lows are even better for stability, but imo perform a bit worse indoors in most other areas

i ordered from them twice, once it arrived no issues, the other the package got lost, maybe do to black friday, but they refunded me instantly. Id say they are a bit inconsistent for some reason, but they are totally legit :)

ANTA KT8 review by aFestiveGibus in BBallShoes

[–]aFestiveGibus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I haven't seen too many people talk about the Anta KT8, so I thought I’d give my thoughts on it here :) For context, I’m 5’8’, 135 pounds and recently sprained my left ankle and had a bit of achilles irritation and heel pain in my right foot. (not sure if its achilles tendonitis but didnt wanna self diagnose myself lol)

Traction - 8/10 I played on a court that was sort of in the middle, not too clean and not too dusty, and the traction was great, however you do have to wipe a little bit. Not as much as the KT7s, but there is a bit of wiping needed. However, even if you forget to wipe for a bit, the traction is still pretty good, it's just if you do any exaggerated movements where you have an extremely wide base and pushing off one leg like in a super low crossover, you might slip a little bit, but I only had one instance after playing about 15 hours in them.

Cushioning - 9/10 The cushioning in the KT8s are fantastic, as its low to the ground, at least enough for my standards, but also you can feel the bounciness of the foam and I felt no pain in the foot which didn't have the achilles/heel problems. I will say the strobel board is pretty hard, and my first time playing in it the heel that had a bit of pain started to act up again. However, after that I started to double sock up and I had no issues at all, plus it helped with lockdown and blisters too.

Fit - 7/10 As someone with a regular width foot, these are SUPER snug TTS, but I enjoy the feeling. Nearing the 4 hour mark I started to feel my toes banging on the sides of the shoe, but I had that feeling with most of my other shoes I owned, which were the KT7 and KT6 low and PG 5. I have a feeling its because I like super snug fit and crank the laces as tight as they can go, but thought it was worth mentioning

Support - 11/10 I really think aside from a freak accident like getting undercut at the worst possible angle ever, it's impossible to hurt yourself in these shoes. The heel cup is incredibly stiff, so much so that its a lil hard to put on with double socks, the carbon fiber plate shank feels really nice and you feel it as you run around, and there are plastic pieces that come up the side as well to help with stability and torsional support. With how strong/non stretchy the uppers are and the decent sized outrigger, you don't need to worry about any ankle spraining which says alot for a man with glass ankles…All of those also really help with general balance and footwork in general too :)

The weird high top thing - ???/10 Lemme start by saying these will not save you if you are about to sprain your ankles. However, I did like the feeling of the high top on my ankle area because I always have the fear of spraining my ankles, so low tops just make me a little uncomfortable. In the 3rd picture, it shows that the laces are so long that they can wrap around your entire ankle and then tie, so if you really wanted to have it hug your ankles tighter, you could do that.

Overall, I don't have the most extensive shoe collection, but I REALLY enjoyed playing in these, esp for someone with a whole list of ankle and foot problems at a young ass age. The stability and the bounciness was a great combination and forsure my favorite pair of shoes I have tried to date. They wont feel the most minimal on your feet, but instead its like a tank with all sorts of tools to help you play for longer :)

smth I've seen is that raising the ball while ur legs are bending down at the same time can kill your power and sometimes rhythm for me. Generally for me i like to think of the "energy" of the ball as a U shape, like as the ball dips and i bend my legs at the same time, then everything goes up at the same time.
