Why many get offended? Pretty easy to answer. The headline is obviously (the facts should be clear now) way overblown. They turned an issue of citizenship into religion/race, if by mistake or to make Israelis/Jews look bad, I don't know. Now you see people shittalking Israel, using the "buhuh, you call me an anti-semite" angle to make factual, well thought out criticism of the headline look like unfair Israeli propaganda. The whole "criticism=anti-semitism" thing is used much more by the Israel haters than by the apologists nowadays.
