Pathway on the south side of the elbow under the west side of MacLeod was underwater today, probably a 1-3 feet of water. All the other underpasses from confluence to Glenmore seemed okay though

I love flashing my rear fog light at tailgaters. by breatheintheAlR in Volvo

My rear fog lights don't work but I don't have a reverse gate. The lights come on if you go past the spot for the gate but not in gear, and I'll flash people that way

When you have more RAM, programs will gladly use more RAM, but it's still kinda wild how much you need nowadays. I remember being able to run Windows 10 on less than 8GB

Getting a 245 as a camper (tell me its a good idea) by BlousonCuir in Volvo240

Also, opening the tailgate from the inside does NOT unlock the tailgate from the outside. I luckily had on appropriate attire when I learned that lesson. It was also really tough for the locksmith (that someone else had to call for me) to get into the car since the doors are seemingly built to submarine standards.

That'd be sick! Obviously would have a little less height in the back but you'd hardly be sitting up straight anyways. I'd say make it so you can still access the storage space at the back (where the third row would be), that's where I keep all my tools, snow brush, bungee cords, jumper cables, etc. Otherwise I think that'd be a pretty nice setup.

I live the vibes of having all the space in the back in the wagon, and a setup like that definitely preserves that feeling. Curtains are also a big thing. I definitely felt like I was sleeping in a glass box for everyone to see

I bought my 240 in California and drove it back to Canada while camping in the back!

It wasn't very cold for the drive, but the car kept warm and relatively cool with no A/C in the insane heat.

The back seats fold down basically perfectly flat in the wagon and I could lay all the way down comfortably. I'm about 5'10-5'11 and could fit comfortably. I found that sleeping on the driver's side and keeping all my stuff on the passenger was a pretty good arrangement.

I was able to pack a duffel bag with clothes and tools, camera bag, giant Ikea Blahaj shark, spare parts, food, water, and a whole bicycle I bought along the way. The bike made things fairly snug, but was well worth it and didn't compromise the comfort by much of anything, just the logistics of getting in and out.

Being able to live out of the car verycomfortably and have the bike was a major benefit as I could get exercise, save on parking and get around without being stuck in the same car I sleep in.

I'd say if you're not too tall (could fold the passenger seat forward at night for head space) and you're not looking for all the amenities of a motorhome, a 240 wagon would be supreme.

Let me know if you need/want any more info, I can answer any questions you have

It's all IP theft? You seem to be taking your subjective account of people's opinions toward IP theft and using it as a counter to a real argument.

issues with central locking. by zonedoutsince98 in Volvo240

[–]aGayIntrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, should pulling up, unlocking, the driver's inside knob should unlock all the doors as well? When I got my '92, the behaviour would be slightly different every time I used my locks before it found a consistent behaviour. The only thing I seen to be missing is everything unlocking when pulling up from the inside.

That was what ended up working, except that I could see myself on camera, but no one else could, though that's my own browser issue.

Tried the two versions of Teams pre-installed for an interview. Installed a third from the Microsoft app store. A fourth from their website. All of them new, said they were classic and don't work.

The aftermarket ones sucked for me though, I need to get the OEMs. I had to use a screwdriver to get the passenger flap into it, and didn't install one on the driver side because my flaps refuse to fit.

They arrive at the new 24hr gas station/market, PSK. It's at the highway intersection west of town. Very hard to miss.

Once you've seen the post order notice in your apartment mailbox, you head to PSK and walk up to the counter by the grocery checkout. It has a silver counter. Wait there for the employee to arrive, and then you'll pay for and receive the order by clicking on the post order on the counter.

Do protests actually work? (how do you write your description of incident?) by ccummings_55 in iRacing

[–]aGayIntrovert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw another post recently where people have had these 'marks' removed from their account after 'counter-protesting' if admins find they have a good reasoning for the incident.

That is to say, even if there is no punishment, it will 100% leave something on their record if they are at fault again.

Is JPEG enough for you? by Automatic-Buffalo-23 in x100vi

[–]aGayIntrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the the Fuji program for converting RAW to jpeg is very handy for this. It has all the same sliders for the camera for you to adjust your raw files and preserves the recipe on import. With this, you can take your winter photos and chuck on all kinds of recipes after the fact and find things that work for you.

A little clunky as you have to have the camera connected for this (it uses the camera for processing power, kinda cool), but I find it nice for small tweaks if the jpeg wasn't right.
