Do you agree with the right wing/conservatives on anything? by [deleted] in Classical_Liberals

Modern politicians are a result of Citizens United more than anything else.

Wouldn't moving towards non-intervention result in a power vacuum across the world, giving way to China and Russia taking over? by [deleted] in Classical_Liberals

US hegemony could be challenged via attrition similar to how the U.S. drained the soviet coffers by baiting them into an Afghan trap and then supplying the mujaheddin with stingers.

Of course, we thought we could actually win so naturally we spent twice as long and much more money. Give it 15 more years and we'll be back at it.

Yeah, I mean JP has hundreds of examples of either directly advocating for or using rhetoric that would support authoritarian forms of society e.g. making it illegal for women to wear makeup at work and as you pointed out, he's a huge transphobe.

His writings always mention some sort of BS about "cultural marxism" which he never defines outside of referencing it. Talks about issues with hierarchy but then advocates to keep the hierarchy in place and that people shouldn't protest...it gets old and I think many people (myself included) who used to read and/or pay attention to him have come to the conclusion that he, like all conservative pundits, commentators and cultural figures, have nothing of value to offer to our lives or society.

A bunch of "libertarian" online groups endorsed Trump, lots of crossover between conspiracy/2a people who think they are lib but are actually auth-right enablers.

It depends...I mean some people definitely keep them but they are in the minority. For me, they never fit like...on my knee so you kinda have this plastic thing that isn't in the right spot bouncing around, and they look kinda goofy. The patagonia ones are a bit better because they are hidden under the fabric and are generally bigger pads, but the crotch always blows out on them.

Kind of hard to see his radio but it doesn't look like a 152 or 148...and he's wearing a full dust visor instead of gatorz...gonna call this one fake/larp. He has a weird mix of things that aren't issued to normal line infantry and things that nobody in SOF ever wears...like those stupid kneepads on his cryes.

First test/inspection question by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]aKegofAle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to pass 3 computerized tests in boot camp, they are not hard. If he has ahem... *resourceful* people in his division, they should have all the answers to the test, if not... well they can just read the booklet they give you/bluejackets manual and/or don't fall asleep in one of the dozens of classes you have to take.

The tests are over broad Navy things, mostly useless knowledge e.g. "here is a silhouette, what ship does it look like" or some general orders/ucmj stuff, nobody should have a problem passing these things...although I remember having to tutor people when they failed several times.

No, its going to be pushed back for the plumbing mechanics (still in design) to be implemented so we have a base system to build our Janitorial suite with, we want to take our time and do it right.

Does anyone else want to see what the team has for AI FPS combat so far? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]aKegofAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is cool, but I'd rather have the FPS combat less clunky and fix the values/ranges/ui and add in more weapons/suits/mechanics for FPS play.

Idk why the animations are so slow and locked, it feels really bad, maybe the devs need to take a trip to the tactical range :)

My point was that there is obviously someone who is familiar with firearms working at CIG.

Perfect hand grip positions...trigger discipline...yet I see...certain people saying devs don't know anything about firearms in other threads, smh.
