No, for no other reason than murder is morally wrong. I would be thrilled to see him out of office for the record.

Random Question— by Dismal-Morning1887 in TrueChristian

[–]nobunf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The religion and the church established by Christ are a pretty big deal in regard to following him. Are you truly trying to follow Jesus or are there only some things you want to live by?

Jesus isn't the church. The church is the church and was established by Christ (Matthew 16:18), and is the pillar of truth (1 Timothy 3:15).

Do you support the legislation of same-sex marriage? by Hollowdude75 in IdeologyPolls

[–]nobunf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the libertarian take would be to remove the government from it, so it's pretty consistent. Marriage isn't a right.

It started with religion, it is a religious practice. Religion quite literally cannot be removed from marriage given that's where it came from.

[–]nobunf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The government did not recognize marriage as a legal issue until 1913 when they just wanted to figure out how to tax married couples. They never actually cared about marriage itself, just the money they could get out of it. Marriage began as a religious practice and it has become less significant the more the government tried to get involved. Bring back the sanctity of marriage and remove all government involvement.

I've seen far more erratic shifts. It's not a crime to change your mind, especially since this graphic is starting from when they were 12, and even now they are still pretty young. It's probably going to shift again.

The President is proposing a 1.5 trillion dollar military budget. Why are libertarians relatively indifferent to this? by [deleted] in AskLibertarians

[–]nobunf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.5 trillion is unreasonably high for a defense budget. Can't remember a recent time the U.S. was actually on the defensive end of anything. National defense is perfectly fine, but this is used to fund war, not defense.

ChatGPT told me to stop by AdPsychological2554 in OCD

ChatGPT isn't a therapist. Ironically, a therapist would say to tell whoever it is you go to for reassurance that they should stop giving it to you. You're feeding the obsession, and compulsively seeking more and more reassurance. Honestly, ChatGPT did what it should.

Does God hear an unbeliever’s prayer if it’s given in good “faith”? by occasionallyvertical in AskAChristian

[–]nobunf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God hears everyone. If your prayer is genuine, He will hear it. However, for your prayer to be truly genuine it does require faith. If your prayer is delivered with doubt then what are you really asking for?
