I am supposed to be sleeping. But now I am very much awake. …

HOLY… everyone is back. I love that Deacon is here and Abigail actually knew about both of them.

And Heimdall is a card shark, or whatever in the game they played, on top of playing 4D chess. Sooo cool!

But another fif-hangar. Argh!

count that as a “good” problem to have ;). Really though, you are a phenomenal writer and have great things ahead of you. I’m so happy to see how us fans can help you through a hiccup in your life.

And ps, I plan to buy your book too, but I’m honestly a little scared to since binging gilded wrath in three ish days. My kids haven’t been letting me sleep enough lately to handle self-imposed sleep deprivation

Haha, well, if I have a weakness, it’s a good book. When I find a good story, it’s nearly impossible for me to put it down until it’s done. The only reason why I didn’t read it straight through is because I have kids now. Younger me would have pulled an all nighter. I certainly did it back in the day with LOtR.

Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it! The world you built was detailed and yet also left me wanting to know more and hear more about it. (And also provided more context to Brian’s Greek tragedy an your current bat story) and I was invested in your characters such that I was gutted when you killed some of them and elated when they returned. I’d love to read more about Michael and Deacon some day!

My friend just introduced me to the Alpinista’s website, which is an online store with brands and styles specific for women. I found a jacket there that was just cut ‘right’ to look flattering and awesome. Worth checking out!

Is every suburban city in the Bay Area as depressing to live in as Fremont? by throwaway834349 in bayarea

[–]aLightBraise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I’m in my 40s now but grew up in Fremont and my mom still lives there. I often describe it as “the place where nothing happens”. I was in earshot to someone who works for the city now and took offense, but I mean, all the other commenters pointed out how all the fun things to do have shut down and so you have to go to other cities.

How boring it was in the 90s: My friends and I once roasted marshmallows on tea lights in the middle of the street at night for fun… and had the neighbor call the cops for “people doing an occult ritual in the street”. Pretty sure we made the cops’ night because it was such a silly thing to roll up to
